SOURCE: The shutdown window keeps coming up and my computer shuts down
This is probably due to a virus.. there are many viruses that do this.. Until you fix it you can open
gpedit.msc -> computer configuraton -> windows settings ->
security settings -> local policies -> user rights assignment
-> shut down the system -> remove everyone from shutting down
the system.
This wont let anyone including you shut down the system including you but that would keep the system on until you fix the problem. I will check for the virus that does this and post back..

its seems your os is havening problem try to restore to earlier date or repair it.

By default, the home button will just close the open application and show the last displayed set of favorites (not necessarily the first page of favorites).
One option for you would be to set the double tap option for the home button to take you to the first page of favorites. By default, the double-click will show you your Phone Favorites, but this can be altered as follows: Choose Settings - General - Home Button. Then choose "Home" as the double-click option.

Hi, when this happens it usually means the operating system is corrupt, the best thing to do is to reflash your Archos, you obtain the required software and then plug into the USB port and then using the proprietary software to reflash the internal memory on the Archos to replace the operating system, and restore it to functionality, if you ONLY copy over the system files you will keep all you old settings.
You need to go to the Archos website to obtain the Firmware also there is s "How to" reflash your Archos 7.
