Model B21CL81SNSm. How can I seat icemaker? - Bosch Refrigerators

Your icemaker is not filling all the way. You're just getting "shells" of ice cubes. It could be a restriction in the line feeding the fridge. It could be a clogged filter. It could also be a valve that's not opening fully. I had an icemaker/water valve where the plungers got "gummy" and kind of stuck to the seats. Replaced and worked great.

Suggestion: Find the fill valve, remove the incoming water line and make sure you're getting a good strong stream of water from the tubing.

Most of the time where they are making ice at the fill tube point the icemaker water valve in the back of the unit is leaking / dripping water past the valve / diaphram seat and it will have to be replaced. You can prove this by turning off the icemaker and then pulling the tube off the back of the unit and placing it into a bucket over night. If your sure the icemaker is off and there is water in the bucket the next morning the water valve is bad.

Now as for that ice in the icemaker fill tube... you can use a hand held hair dryer to defrost it once you change the water valve. I just changed my own water valve on a maytag less than 2 weeks ago that was doing the same thing. (Ice in fill hole and tube) It is working like a champ now.

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into icemaker . If it dumps , replace the water valve . If it doesn't , replace the icemaker . Your icemaker may have the white flap arm with a spring attached between the arm and bottom of the icemaker . Check that spring , to make sure both ends are seated . Ocassionally , the top of the spring (fitting into the bottom of the icemaker ) comes out , and has to be pushed back into the hole .

Not all U-lines have alumalastic under their icemaker. What model do you have? Alumalastic will come with the icemaker with directions on how to put it on. It's a caulking material that is spread under the icemaker to cover the heater and sensor tube. If you remove your icemaker you should see it if it needs it.

cheek the condenser fan.if its opration is not correct.

If icemaker gets hot, then you may have a faulty valve solenoid on Icemaker.
Before checking the icemaker check the inlet valve at the back of the fridge, and ensure water lines are not frozen.

the solenoid may be tested using a multimeter.

The light may be telling you that the temperature is not cold enough to operate the icemaker.
