I don’t know your location or weather conditions however I use 12v and it’s length: 20.75"
Width: 8.19"
Height: 7.93”
You can find lots of batteries that fit the tractor rather 6v or 12v but avoid totally using car battery thecdo not last and cause lots of headaches. Good luck also with the cost they are very expensive compare with automobiles batteries. God bless

How to remove clean and replace hydraulic oil filter on a Fiat 411R PTO unit

To remove, clean, and replace the hydraulic oil filter on a Fiat 411R PTO unit, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the filter: The hydraulic oil filter is typically located on the side of the PTO unit, near the bottom. It is often mounted to the side of the unit with a bolt or a clamp.
  2. Prepare to drain the oil: Before you remove the filter, you will need to drain the hydraulic oil from the PTO unit. To do this, locate the oil drain plug or valve and place a drain pan underneath it. Then, loosen the drain plug or valve to allow the oil to drain out.
  3. Remove the filter: Once the oil has drained out, you can remove the filter. To do this, you will need to loosen the bolt or clamp that holds the filter in place. You may need to use a wrench or pliers to do this. Once the bolt or clamp is loosened, you can carefully remove the filter from the PTO unit.
  4. Clean the filter: Once the filter is removed, you will need to clean it. To do this, you can use a degreaser or solvent to remove any dirt or debris from the filter. Once it is clean, you can set it aside.
  5. Replace the filter: Once the filter is clean, you can install the new filter. To do this, simply reverse the steps you used to remove the old filter. Make sure the filter is properly seated and tightened down, and then refill the PTO unit with new hydraulic oil.
It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions when replacing the hydraulic oil filter on your PTO unit. If you are unsure about any of the steps or have any questions, it's a good idea to consult the manual or contact a mechanic for assistance.

What oil should i put in Fiat 411r hydraulics?

I read someplace the hydraulics use the engine oil. I have the same question. It looks like the hydraulic pump is located at the right hand side of the engine block, forward and is connected to it. Although the previous owner of my tractor used hydraulic fluid.

What is the size Battery (cranking amp) needed for a 3990cc 4 cylinder Perkins 50HP AA Series Naturally Asperated Diesel Engine With a 40KW Generator attached. Thanks, Verner From Florida.

If the unit has a battery box, measure it and get the largest size that will fit and of course the correct voltage. Diesels take a lot to crank.

You can search battery sizes on the internet for physical size. NAPA has a pretty good selection.

I need to know the proper CCA rating for the batteries on a 1965 John Deere 4020D

Since that tractor was made before they used CCA ratings could it be possible that no such official rating exists?

How about you use what ever size battery that will fit? If I recall correctly it takes two on each side of the tractor and they are rather long, tall and skinny - so much so that no normal battery would ever replace them physically. I'm thinking electrically just about any pickup battery would be a good CCA equivalent. Provided you are paying attention to the 12/24 volt issue on those dual battery JD setups like the 4020 had. If you have two six volt batteries and they work as one 12 volt then you can't use 12 volt batteries for your pickup, in other words.

In the real world the actual difference between a 500 CCA battery and an 800 CCA battery would be hard to tell until the temp got down around 20 below zero. THEN you might get your money's worth, and you might not. In my opinion and with my budget I won't go with a high capacity battery - they just cost too much more. I also don't live in Alaska, so I don't have to worry about it often enough to be cost effective. I get my warm fuzzy feelings from somewhere else...

If you are having troubles starting with normal rated batteries, you won't escape the same problems with higher capacity batteries. The troubles just cost more.
