It fills okay on wash cycle, then on rinse cycle cold water only dribbles in. We have had the intake hose off and checked. What can it be
Remove the cold water hose from the back of the washing machine look inside the valve there will be a screening there clean the screen do not remove it and throw it away if you can get the screen out without damaging it you can reinstall it but do not run the machine without that screen in the valve
Either screensvin hose and valve are obstructed with debris or water valve is bad.
SOURCE: error message only prior to the rinse cycle, not filling correctl
The cold water solenoid valve seems to have failed on you. They're easy to replace and can be purchased at any appliance parts company
SOURCE: Rinse Cycle Doesn't Fill with Water
You may want to double check you have the inlet hoses around the correct way as if you have the cold hose going to the hot valve it would cause this fault. If the machine doesnt spin properly also it could be a faulty Out of balance switch. cheers.

the water inlet valve has to be replaced, its the part where you seen the screen ,where the hose hooks up to,theres a cylinoid that opens and closes and lets the water come in,your cylinoid is no good, but you change it as one unit, and its called water inlet valve, easy fix you can do your self,if this helps please vote me a fix ya
SOURCE: GE Washing machine cold water barely dribbles in
well the first thing i would do is take the cold line loose from the washer get a large bucket and open the cold line with the hose off and see what kind of pressure there is if very little need a plumber or in crese your well pump pressure check your screen while you have the hose off if all of this is ok id replace the washer water valves
SOURCE: my washing machine will fill with hot water only,
Check for a cold water supply problem by taking a look at the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small metal screens inside the openings on the valve (especially the cold water side). Make sure they are free of rust or debris. Check the solenoids. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
