I own a Pulsar model y113-6199A299 since 1984.It has a black dial with gold around it. Chronograph 100 meters. What is the value?

Without more information, it is difficult to provide an accurate estimate of the value of your Pulsar watch. The value can depend on a variety of factors including the specific model, condition, and age of the watch. Additionally, Pulsar watches are not considered high-end luxury watches and therefore do not typically hold a high value. It would be best to consult a watch appraiser or a reputable dealer in vintage watches for a more accurate estimate of the value of your watch.

How can i verify a srial number on my watch?

You would be better off taking it to a reputable watch repairer or alternatively take some good clear photo's of all relevant markings and post them off to a site/program such as "Antiques Roadshow" they have very knowledgable and reputable people on hand and may get you the answers you seek for the cost of a stamped envelope.

Watch by serial number

value is only what someone would want to pay for it at that moment. Sentimental has no market value...

nothing available in a brief internet search. I would take it to a watch/jewelry shop for inspection/insurance evaluation. Understand insurance/replacement value is always more than actual street value

I need a valuation on a ladies gold movado watch. Serial number A63165

Hello there, the serial number on a Movado watch is usually unique to each watch and therefore a watch cannot be identified by that. Here is a picture of all the gold ladies Movado watches which are presently available. I have numbered them 1 - 8 accordingly.

rockmeister_21.jpg

1 and 2 are both tagged the Amorosa and are valued at $895 and $1395 respectively.
3 and 4 are both tagged the Concerto and are valued at $2495 and $1495 respectively.
5 and 6 are both tagged the Bellamoda and are valued at $1495 and $1095 respectively.
7 is the Harmony and is valued at $895
8 is the Rondiro and is valued at $1495
If your watch is not on the list above then you might want to send it to the nearest Movado authorised dealer to confirm if it is original or a knock off.
Hope this support has been helpful?

I have a Bulova Watch that was given to a Clark Candy employee with a Serial Number of 523791. Looking for what year it was made and is it worth anything

The value of your watch depends greatly on the model / style, age, and case composition. It goes without saying, but watches (of any mechanical quality) that have real gold cases right now are worth quite a bit more than watches with gold plated, gold filled, gold-tone, or stainless steel cases. Presentation watches like those given to employees upon retirement were often gold or gold-filled--but there's a world of difference in value between those two types of watches.

In terms of age, it's much easier to date vintage Bulova watches by their "year code" than by their serial number. If you look carefully, usually above or below the serial number, you'll see a little alphanumeric code, like L5, N3, or P6. These can be translated as follows:

Lx = 195x Mx = 196x Nx = 197x Px = 198x Tx = 199x

Pre-1947 Bulova watches used little symbols to show the year of manufacture. A picture of those codes can be found here, as well as elsewhere on the Internet:

Good morning. I am considering purchasing an antique omega watch: 14k white gold AA7442 562738 case serial number The movement is from the Omega watch co.. 17 jewels swiss. Serial number 23625437...

The repair to the winder may be only £30.00 but will the watch then work well.Parts for old Omegas can cost a premium and the watch may need a service.A service to an Omega by a good watchmaker will cost £170.00 ish and if it needs parts this will rise.
As to value if its 14ct on a bracelet the gold is worth about £12.00 a grm so if its 30g then the gold is £350/£400.00
Its hard to say what to pay without knowing if the watch works well,if it needs £200.00 spending on it the value is reduced to little more than the gold value so id weigh the watch work out a gold value and then a small amount.
If you need a repair try www.rolexrepairs.co.uk they offer a free estimate.

How can you get into a sovereign ladies watch to change the battery, does the back come off or the glass ? the back doesn't seem removable. its diameter is 20 mm and its 9 carat gold. bracelet and watch

You have to pull stem out of watch movement completely and then remove watch glass. Sovereign watch cases are monoblock, so, the only way to get into it is to remove the glass. Rate me, plz.

I have agents rotary quartz with the number 3081 stamped on the back. the watch is oblong with a black black face and gold lettering and a date box. and gold intergrated strap. Would you please be able to...

Your watch is battery operated hence the term "quartz" All quartz watches are battery powered. As for value I'm not sure. The manufacturer of the module (mechanism inside) is a reasonable indicator of value. If its ETA then its in the upper range. You could try seeing if Rotary have a site if so they may allow you to identify details on age etc from the stamp numbers.

Changing a watch battery

I used a sharp penknife blade to remove the watch front by getting right on the base and pinching the glass off, (comes off quite easily) tilt the watch out of the case and see enough to prise battery out with a needle. The battery is a Maxwell SR920W or equivalent. Have ordered new batteries on ebay.
