This isn't something you can easily fix yourself, it sounds like you did, indeed, get a bad system. Since it's only two weeks old, your best bet is to take it back to the store and exchange it. Repairs will cost you money, but an exchange should be free. Good luck!

Usually if they will plug in it is right, but if you have one of those that fit all, then I wouldn't be afraid to start with the first since if it doesn't work, you can always try the second. One may give a better picture than the other, that you might compare with.
SOURCE: My tv Samsung HP-R4252, have Y-Main board
Do you have more specific information on your set, such as the full product model? Such as: HP-R4252X/XAA? What about the version?
This can help, because--as of right now--you are telling me that you put that Philips part into your Samsung TV. The LJ41-02759A is made for a range of Philips sets. They may work, don't get me wrong, but the part # for your Samsung set is: BN96-02033A
I don't have both these boards in front of me, of course, so I can't tell you if they cross or not.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Basically it is problem of LCD Panel (screen) however some times T-Con board replacement fixed the issue (T-Con board is part of lcd panel but some part shop sell it separately). Main board is not related with this kind of problem.
Required T-Con board is available in ShopJimmy.com (click the link to view available boards)
If T-Con board replacement does not solve half screen vertical lines problem then LCD Panel will be replaced and it would cost approx new tv price.
Hope this info will help.
Thanks.

Sounds like a backlight is out. If its still under warranty, exchange it. First try unplugging it for two minutes to reset the t.v.
