Generally, there is an internal circuit breaker to avoid fire when utilizing 220VAC power. You should have this information from the Manual that came with the oven.

Worked perfect now wont turn on changed fuse in plug still nothing, only had it a year It looks brand new inside and out

It is likely an internal fuse has blown also. Most ovens have one on the power supply board. then another in the magnetron supply. Don't mess with it yourself internally unless you know how to safely discharge the HV capacitor, which is lethal even when the oven is unplugged.

Unit has no power nor is display lit up. Have power to cord. tripped breaker. is there an internal fuse behind control panel

Microwave ovens have an internal fuse to protect the unit. Once you remove the white cover it is easily located on a board where the main power cable first goes into. Despite what you hear about dangerous radiation generated by microwave it is sage to turn on the microwave with the white cover off because the radiation stays within the microwave cavity. If you buy pass the door interlock then you may be exposed to some radiation escaping from the door opening. No match can go wrong in a microwave. Usually its something simple like a bad connection a burned fuse .or a burned power supply if it is microprocessor based unit.

The power in our MV1608WW by gold star (LG) just cut out. how do we replace the internal power supply?

Most microwave ovens have a fuse. It may be a cartridge-type. You will need to remove the fuse from its socket and use an ohmmeter to check fuse continuity (that current can pass through it). If the reading is very high (kilo-ohms or mega-ohms), the fuse has blown and will need to be replaced.

Be SURE the microwave is unplugged before doing any testing!!!

GE Spacemaker microwave JVM140G just stopped working - no power, no lights, no exhaust - NOTHING Is there an internal fuse? The circuit breaker is not tripped.

NO internal fuse. It is most likely, the magnetron, and or High power diode. As related In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

Power off

Chances are if there is power available to the unit and it will not power up, the internal fuse has opened. This is not a user serviceable type repair. that being said, remove the cover, near the power supply is a ceramic fuse, test/replace the fuse reassemble. if the fuse continues to blow it will most likely be easier to replace the unit than to repair it

Where is the fuse?

The fuse is internal and you will have to remove the cover to be able to access it. Unplug the unit. Once you remove the cover, follow where the power cord goes into the unit. The fuse should be in that area. Replace the fuse with the EXACT value of that of the original one.

If the fuse blows again when you put the cover back on and turn it on, then this indicates that you have a problem in the power supply or with the magenetron.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
