the desktops vast models have sticker on 1 of 6 sides telling what it is. I see photos of it top front left side the model sticker.

and HP ended the support page so those huge blocks of driver there are gone right? sure.
You want HP (compaq) full SET of drivers or your unstated OS.
so we must guess what OS this runs or goals??????
THE CMOS BATTERY IS DEAD
AND HE HDD IS NO GOOD NOW.
BUT MUST BE REPLACED FIRST.
HP DOES NOT SUPPORT VISTA AT ALL OR THIS PC NOW.
HP OWNS COMPAQ FOR 20 YEARS.
HP ENDED Support about 12 years ago, RIP, relic PC
but linux can be put on it, and logs of work getting sound up and Ethernet.

well firstly you have to download "your uninstaller2008" then delete any driver you have installed
secondly go to this website http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29 clic on " lancer la detection " wait a minute and you will have a list of you latest drivers for your pc " and its free"
