SOURCE: Proscan to Bang and Olauffson sound system

FDirstly, you should not connect your TV to a Sound System. If you desire to listen to your Broadcast TV , and enhance the listening experience,I suggest you use the Audio L & R outputs of your Cable Box to your Sound System AUX IN , and Video Out to the TV's Video IN socket. Then you will recieve a better picture and a enhanced sound quality. But just directly connecting the TV's Audio Out to the Sound System will make scarcely any difference.

SOURCE: proscan tv surround sound hook up

This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.

If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

SOURCE: No Sound is coming from the TV. The volume bar is

Hello There,

This problem sounds like a Connection issue, it all come's down to what wires you are using and where you have them plugged into .

if using AV cables make sure you have the Red,White plugged into the same group as the yellow cable .

If using the Component Cables these are Red,Blue,Green they are Video only and you need to use a Red and White wire with them to get Audio so a total of 5 wires for this setup.

If you are using HDMI you should have both Video and Audio if you do not we may have a bigger problem on are hands and let me know and ill go over some more steps for you thank you and don't forget to Rate

How to fit a sound bar to a proscan tv

1) Go the Sound Tab on the remote's Proscan menu
2) Set the system's "Digital Audio Output" to PCM (pulse code modulation)
3) Connect a coaxial cable from the Coaxial "jack" on the back of the TV to the Digital Input "jack" on the back of the sound bar.
It should work now!

Why do i have very little sound on dvd setting?

Hi ,
Please first check your dvd player to see if there isn't a sound volume control for the output .
Otherwise , check the HDMI connections .
You can also verify if a volume control exists for the sound input of your TV set . If necessary , compulse user's manuals of both units .
Best regads .

My 42" Proscan TV is

Try another set to see if does the same - if so, then it is your box. If not it is the tv. If still under warranty have it fixed before the no sound becomes permanent.

I've connected my laptop to mu Tv - want to watch a movie from DVD on computer. Video part ok, but no sound coming through tto Tv. Using two separate cords for audio and video.

Go into the audio settings in the computer and make sure the a/v volume or audio output volume is turned on. Right click on the little speaker at the bottom right and select adjust audio properties. This will be the sound and audio properties. Click advanced at the volume bar box and you will see all the different volume bars. Make sure they are turned up and not muted. This is on windows XP. Yours may be different but it should have sound and audio properties somewhere. Thanks for using fixya. Hope this helps.

No volume

On the back of your set there are 2 switches that tell the tv whether you are using the internal speakers or the external speakers.
Make sure the switches are set to internal so the speakers in the TV receive the sound signals. If they're set to internal maybe the internal speakers are bad. Set the switches to external and hook up external speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the TV. If neither setup works then it sounds like an output transistor or related parts.

Dvd "Highlander DVX4533 " no sound

sounds like it is set to 5.1 surround when you only have a stereo tv hooked up to it. In audio settings you will need to select 2 channel out.
