Hi, Do you a cap of some sort to block off pipes tha are left after removing pump?

I am renovating and I have removed my bath sauna pump - Onga model 4388. My question is do you either have a fitting that would block off the pipes that are left sitting there that go to the bath OR if I were to go to a plumbers supply shop what would I ask for to do that job? Also if I use the bath without using the pump does the water come down the two pipes regardless of the pump not operating? Cheers Rob

Blade valve is the best part for this if there is enough room to fit it in. Be sure nothing else is in the way before putting everything back together. Good luck, Tim

SOURCE: hotpoint ultima 1200

Kirsty - There could be an item like a hair clip Jamming the pump impeller. Or then it can be only a blockage in the filter or in the waste pipe or if the waste is connected to your sink drain check that the blockage is not there - either in the end of the pipe or in the sink connection.

Try disconnecting at the sink, holding the waste pipe into a bucket see if it will pump out then. If it does then the problem lies in the sink plumbing - if not then it lies in the machine.

If the pump and filter and hoses are definitely clear you could have a Pump, PCB or wiring fault. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: waste trap under bath leaks

put the putty under the flange where it makes contact with the inside of the bath, push the flange to the bath & tighten nut underneath. Trim off excess. Have an overflow pipe [not intergral] make sure the top & bottom of the collar have rubber seals
If the whole lot is plastic there may well be a leak down & along the thread of the waste.[it comes from the o/flow pipe collar] Silicone the thread and tighten nut. make sure it's dry first - silicone & water do not make a happy couple

Drain the cooling system & remove cooling fan. Loosen the pump pulley bolts & remove aux. drive belt. Remove the pulley bolts/nuts & pulley. Remove pump bolts. If pump is tight, install 2 M6 bolts into jacking holes and push pump out. Save the seal O-ring for new pump. Reverse for install.

What is the difference between a sauna and a Turkish bath?

Saunas can reach different levels of humidity, and accordingly, they are set at different temperatures.
A traditional sauna is between 70 and 100 degrees Celsius, while a Turkish bath, in order to approach the wanted 100% humidity, has a temperature of around 40 degrees to compensate the steam.

What is a sauna?

"A sauna is a small room or house designed as a place to experience dry or wet heat sessions, or an establishment with one or more of these and auxiliary facilities.
A sauna session can be a social affair in which the participants disrobe and sit or recline in temperatures typically between 70 degrees C (158 degrees F) and 100 degrees C (212 degrees F). This induces relaxation and promotes sweating.
Saunas can be divided into two basic styles: conventional saunas that warm the air or infrared saunas that warm objects. Infrared saunas may use various materials in their heating area such as charcoal, active carbon fibers, and other materials."

How do you open front panel on miele w864 to clean out drain pipe to uper right hand side of drum i belive this has a sensor that detects when blocked and once clear machine will work ok , drain pump is...

Hi - in most cases there are three screws behind the door, 2 screws for the door lock, some models will require the removal of soap dish and screws.

Should not be the case here, 2 screws on the lower part of the front panel, open the small trap door bottom RH corner unscrew cap to remove the rubbish from the drain pump as this shuts off the machine too.

Be careful to have a contaner to catch H2O as the cap unscrews.

Water is left in dispenser after load done

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Although you do not say which model it is, this is a common problem with many machines.
I suspect that it is a blockage in the conditioner/softener tray and needs a thorough clean,
paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD ;-0)
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
Good luck,

THEN RAISE THE VECHICLE SUPPORT VECHICLE WITH JACKSTANDS. REMOVE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD FROM THE ENGINE. CAUTION DO NOT ROTATE THE FLEX COUPLING ON THE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE MORE THAN 4 DEGREE OR DAMAGE TO THE FLEX COUPLING MAY OCCUR. REMOVE THE THERMOSTAT AND THE COOLANT INLET PIPE FROM THE WATER PUMP HOUSING AND SEPARATE THE ASSEMBLY FROM THE ENGINE. LOWER THE VECHICLE REMOVE THE BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM HOSE FROM THE CAMSHAFT HOUSING. REMOVE THE FRONT TIMING CHAIN COVER AND THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER FROM THE ENGINE. CAUTION THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER MUST BE REMOVED TO UNLOAD CHAIN TENSION BEFORE REMOVING THE WATER PUMP FROM THE HOUSING OTHERWISE THE WATER PUMP WILL BECOME JAMMED IN THE TIMING CHAIN HOUSING. LET ENGINE IDLE UNTIL THERMOSTAT OPENS WATCH TEMPERATURE GAUGE WHEN TEMPERATURE GAUGE RISING TO OVERHEATING. TURN OFF ENGINE WAIT A WHILE TAKE A LARGE RAG SLOWLY OPEN RADIATOR CAP A LITTLE TO RELEASE PRESSURE. WHEN PRESSURE RELEASE REMOVE RADIATOR CAP ADD MORE COOLANT. Plastic impellor sticks inside on onga pool pump and i can't get free .When i try with phillips head screwdriver it is jamming and i can't loosen to get impellor off and the pump only makes noise and can't...

Your Onga Pool pump was running dry causing the
impeller to melt down and stick to the pump case.
You have to remove the impeller, and the only way
to take it off by using the heat gun to melt the stucked plastic impeller. Or by forcing it off slowly, cutting the impeller using hacksaw, taking care of the mechanical seal and the motor shaft not to bend it. Afterwhich you can replace the impeller, and assemble the Onga pump/motor. Then, you can
install the Onga pump back to its location. Just
send you e-mail for further assistance. God bless
you.

ASKO Overfill protection tripped

Remove the backpanel of the machine, and look if there is water at the bottom of the machine. If so, use a towel or so to dry up the water. This should solve the prob.
