I need to get access to the rear panel (Fan panel) to clear the blocked drain that has been iced over. Is the side panel, a pop-in, pop-out panel?

Question edited for clarity.
All questions need 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words.

Sounds like a Freezer drain? No, that would be far too easy, you have to remove all the food and remove the back panel in a standard top freezer fridge, or the side panel in a side by side. Cold air is vented from the freezer and in behind the fridge damper and circulation fan.

You can Google

and a website like Sears will have it all in an exploded diagram of what goes where down to every screw.

My lg freezer is not freezing.ice is melting

look at the back wall of freezer there is a panel there with vents in it . if it has froze up you may need to defrost the coils behind panel, remove panel and put hair dryer to it on low or med. heat high will melt plastic. check ice maker or tube to see if it is running over the side in back. it will run down on coils and freeze it up.

How do I remove back panel inside of freezer on lg lrfc25750?

Once you have the racks etc out, you should see some round plastic plugs which hide the mounting screws, carefully use the point of a knife to pick these out. The screws for the back panel are then visible. Once they are out, the back panel is also held in with clips which are part of the back panel. Start at one of the top corners and carefully ease the panel out and away from the back of the freezer. If your model has the fan motor attached to the back panel, there will be a wiring plug you will need to undo to fully remove the rear panel.

probably heating element in freezer is broken.
Remove power and defrost. Remove wall panels in back of freezer to Check heater element behind panels With ohm meter should read 20 ohms or less. You could remove it and bring it to a local repair shop and have them test it and if required order you a new one. If this does not work it may be the control board

I have an LG french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Water is coming out of the back freezer vents and then pooling and freezing on the freezer floor. If we don't remove it periodically it leaks onto the...

This has nothing to do with the ice maker. The defrost drain has frozen over. Inside the freezer you will see that the whole back is a panel. Unplug the unit and gently pry at the top of this panel. It will come forward and then you can lift it out. unplug the fans and take the panel out. You will see the coils. and underneath the coils, the drain pan. Mine was completely filled with ice. I used a hair dryer to melt it and remove the large chunks. Be gentle. Use a turkey baster to remove excess water. Then pour some very hot water in to clear the drain itself.

How do you remove the back freezer panel on an lg lfx31925st

first you have to take out your freezer bin and remove the door from the tracks. after that you have to remove the ice maker(should be two to three screws) then remove the rails for the door(do that by loosing a small clip on the clip to the rear and pulling on the rail). then remove the plastic pieces that the rails slide into and set them aside, should be like 3-4 screws per piece, there may be a screw in the middle of the back panel, remove it, then it pulls out from the top. it has tabs so you'll have to pull it out. remember from the top not the bottom. then there will be a couple plugs that are attached to the panel, unplug and there ya go! may i ask whats wrong before you venture into such a feat? its not an easy job for a homeowner, may be able to help fix it without removing the panel.

Control Panel show: Refrigeretor temp panel = all ligths OFF Freezer temp panel = all ligths from 1-5 =OFF 6-7 = ON ??? Thanks

You have a problem with the freezer fan motor inside the freezer. It is not circulating cold air up to the refrigerator section. You will need to determine if the fan motor has failed or has frozen due to ice buildup. You will need to remove everything out of the freezer including the drawer assembly and remove the back wall panel to gain access to the freezer fan motor.
