Could be a bad bearing...but keep in mind, electric motors are not all created equally. If the shaft is bent even slightly, it will still work fine but will be noisier. Some bearings are looser than others, making it noisier. Even the way the pump is mounted can cause vibration therefore making it noisier. There are many things to take into consideration.

Check the voltage trigger of the flash, if you're under 7vdc. Then you are good to go.

Could someone please tell me what battery is used for the Pentax ESPIO 738S shoot and point camera. I picked it up second hand and it has no manual or accessories. As far as i can tell it needs a lithium battery but i don't know which one or what size. Also if you know of anywhere i can get an electronic copy of the user manual that would be handy aswell.

Any Pentax K-mount lens will fit any Pentax DSLR. The DSLR will fire the shutter. There is a menu setting (RTFM) which allows the use of older lenses, but you will lose some of the automation (again RTFM). Remember to allow that the effective focal length when using a "film" lens on a DSLR body goes up by 50%.
A standard 50mm lens becomes a 75mm equivalent, but stays a large aperture.
