Hi, I have a kuppersbusch oven. There is a lot of steam escaping from the front of the oven when switched on. It has only just started doing this in the last month. Any ideas why?

SOURCE: seams to be a lot

I have an electric oven and the same problem: loads of steam when I open the door. Plus roasting is a problem, the pan fills up with water and needs to be drained so things are stewing and not roasting. Have spent ages trying to to find a solution so would also appreciate any advice.

Hello, Make sure the oven is warm, not hot. Open the door and spray the glass with vinegar and water and wipe with newspaper.

The first thing I'd suspect is a poorly fitting door seal / gasket. This will permit the heat inside the oven to escape. Check to be sure the the one installed is defective (cut, split, frayed, dislodged, etc.) Replacement parts:

Neff oven has lots of steam coming out of it when cooking. granite top gets very hot also front pnel above oven where the controls are. Could it be the oven door seal has gone?
