My new RCA model: RTU6549 is waaay too loud. At zero there's no sound, but at 1 you can hear it throughout the house, even through walls. Is there any way to fix this short of opening it up?

If you just bought it return for a new one. You paid for a working model and that is what you should get. Go ahead and open and void the warranty. Do you have the correct tools and test equipment?

SOURCE: Maytag MAV6000Aww washer-loud noise when spinning

Chances are it is not the tub. It is probably the transmission. It has been my experience that the transmission bearing starts to make noise. Look under the unit to see if you can spot any transmission oil. If there is oil, it's time to start shopping for a new unit.

SOURCE: Vizio Volume Control

I am sure you did this but recheck your audio menu on all your inputs. I have found that cables can go bad so make sure they are in good shape. Are you haveing the problems with all your inputs dvd, cable (direct cable or a cable box) whatever? It is hard to affect the audio by just moving the set. I am hoping that you changed something or the cables went bad that would be the easy solution.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: Loud Buzzing Noise from Behind Freezer

Sounds like the freezer fan blade is hitting on a build up of ice or frost. You may have a defrost issue, or it may be a one time thing, like the door was open for a long time (object holding door partially open) or also check the ice dispenser duct door to make sure it is closing. Sometimes a chunk of ice hangs up in the ice shoot, allowing moist air to enter freezer, resulting in the extra frost / ice near the freezer fan. You might also check the door gaskets, especially the bottom side where sugary liquid spills might cause a gasket to tear. #2: Long run times: If cooling is good, don't worry. Older refrig's often ran less time, but used much more electricity than the newer refrig's, even though new one run longer. (Like having a 40 watt light bulb on for 20 hours a day uses less electricity than having a 100 watt bulb on for 10 hours a day)

SOURCE: Loud humming noise coming from 360

The loud humming noise is usually the DVD drive. It is very fast but is very loud. If you have the NXE dashboard you can download games to you Xbox 360 to run them from the hard drive (you will still need to put in the disk for copy protection issues). The Xbox should make less noise then. Try to mount the Xbox 360 on a hard surface which is in contact with a soft floor to reduce the noise travelling through your home.
If it is making a loud noise while there is no disk in the drive then take the console to a Microsoft dealer whenever you can to have them take a look at it.

Of the thousands of models of TV's manufactured in the last 10 years with LED lighting there has never been a set with a fuse in the backlight section. Most likely the lamp strips are bad and need replacing

this is not a problem with the unit but the unit AND your floor, the resonance is amplified by your flooring and can be reduced by putting sound deadening pads under the feet.foam/felt work best.
Did you load up the unit prior to the loud roaring noise?? because the noise was probably the compresor at the end of the freezing cycle..
