Just bought a Sylvania Sdvd1037 but the second screen doesn't turn on. What could the problem be?

When you turn it on, as soon as the very first screen appears press F11.

Than it should take you straight to factory restore settings. P.S.

This will delete everything it so safe your stuff in Hard drives or flash drives.

When you said it's not turning does it have any indication of power and just doesn't boot to your operating system or It doesn't have any sign of power at all?

If it doesn't have power, try to remove the battery plug it into the power outlet using the ac adapter and turn it on. Check the adapter to see if it has a light to make sure that the computer is receiving power.

If the computer turns on but you can't get to windows see if any error message is displayed and be ready with your windows cd/dvd because a reinstallation might be needed.

You have to change the second screen resolution for you to be able to use second screen. Sometime 800X600 or 1048X760 will work.

this is actaully a feature called intro, go into the repeat menu and select normal, you get there by clicking mode while a song is playing. this should fix it. hope this helps

I would try leaving the TV unplugged for 30mins so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, your TV should still be under warranty. I know 95% of come with a 1 year warranty.
The most common problem with Sylvania TVs made by FUNAI, the Backlight Inverter board fails to early in life. ( That's the part that powers the screen)
The Tv can't power up the screen and it turns off automatically. Basically called "Protection Mode" so it protects the other parts inside the TV.

Try a hard reset on the device. Pull the battery out whle the device is on. Then put back in.

If that doesn;t work, try reloading the OS.
