The Hotpoint error code F03-is a temperature sensor fault
This could be due to the heating element not coming on.

Hi,
F06 is a water level fault.
It will either be due to a faulty vacuum switch (which is the hockey-puck thing with the little tube to it,
or it will be not draining properly because of a blocked or faulty outlet pump or filter.
The worst case scenario is that it might be a control board failure.

Check the filter & pump first.
Check to see if the vacuum switch switches by sucking or blowing into the tube.
Sometimes just doing that can free it up if was stuck.?

F 03 showing on machine

Yes F-03 indicates a faulty thermistor (it's inside the heating element at the back). Before calling an engineer, just open the bottom rear panel and check that the connector has not come loose (OR IN MY CASE FALLEN OFF COMPLETELY). This can happen if there is a spin cycle that runs out of balance big time. (two thin wires on a square unit about 5mm in size fitted to the middle of the heating element).

Hotpoint Ultima automatic washing machine, half way through wash cycle the display flashes F 03. The machine is less than 2 years old.

Error code F03 indicates wash thermistor open/short circuit.
Check all connections on thermistor and associated leads.

Good morning.
Error code F03 means that the wash thermistor is open circuit, this means that the water is not getting hot.
You need to fit a new thermistor first of all, if that does not solve the prob, then you will have to fit a new heater element as well.
You will normally find the element and thermistor located at the rear of the m/c.
Access it by removing lower rear panel

Wd640 hotpoint washer dryer - error code F03

This indicates that the wash thermistor is "Open Circuit" and I think it is situated on the heater assy at the back of the machine.

Check the wiring and contacts between the thermistor and the PCB. If you still get the fault it could be the Thermistor ( which means replacing the heater ) or a faulty board.
If it is under 5 years old - Call Hotpoint as you have a 5 years Parts Guarantee mind you the call out is £89.98 but thats cheap if it happens to be the board!
