Could be a defect in the main board and needs replacement.

SOURCE: wii eject button broken

open it up. get a Wii triblade tool for $2 and open it. just unscrew the face plate, shift the button so that it will hit the button again, and screw the faceplate back on. Wont void warranty.

SOURCE: not booting

remove battery and try again (on mains). If it works then battery may be too far gone!

SOURCE: Tv tries to come on then goes off

I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THE 2 CAPACITORS ON THE POWER SWITCH WERE LOWER VOLTAGE THAN WHAT MY SET NEEDED--THEY ARE TURNING OFF AND ON BECAUSE THEY ARE ALMOST BLOWN. WHEN THEY GO TOTALLY OUT THEY WILL NO LONGER TURN ON.

WHEN YOU VIEW THEM THEY WILL HAVE A( PUFFED UP HEAD) ON THEM AND LOOK LIKE A BATTERY WITH 2 WIRES ON TOP. ONE IS BIGGER AND TALLER THAN THE OTHER.

IF YOU'RE IN BACK OF THE SET THEY ARE ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE BACK CASE MUST BE REMOVED FIRST- AND THE MIDDLE RACK DOES COME OUT TO LOCATE.

TURN THE SET OFF BEFORE STARTING AND HAVE A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SOLDERING, AND GET THE CORRECT SIZE CAPACITORS--MINE WERE UNDER RATED FOR MY TV, OF WHICH CAUSED THEM TO START TO GO OUT. PROBABLY MOST OF THEM ARE NOT THE PROPER AMPERAGE.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Screen touch

Refer to the trouble shooting at Nintendo. Your screen may not be working due to the game your playing if any. If that's not the case you may need to recalibrate your touch screen.

The screen will not come out and the unit will not play. The blue light comes on to switch from radio/cd/tv, etc. and the red light comes on when you push cd eject, but otherwise it will not play any

MAKE SURE YOU PRESS THE SOURCE BUTTON AS THE SCREEN WOULD NOT COME OUT FOR THE RADIO BUT WHEN PRESSED AGAIN WILL PROBABLY COME OUT FOR THE TV

Wii has frozen playing guitar hero

Hi. I got the same thing playing GH but without the nunchuck. Use the hand controller to re-sync. Press the sync button on the console FIRST and then the sync button on the hand controller SECOND.

I sat for hours trying to work it out - and it cleared the problem within seconds. Hope it works for you too.

Nintendo Wii console gets a black screen when switched on

not to be mean but buying a modded anything usually voids the warranty.

Not having anything to go off of regarding the mod means that we don't know if it's a faulty weld on the board or anything like that.

Try doing a system reset (if there is a reset button) and see if that works

Pictures too bright

This has happened to me also. You mention that you were changing settings. The symptoms sound like your camera is in a special setting other than "Auto". Examples that would produce such results include Fireworks or Manual. Recommend trying to change your settings one more time:

1. Turn the camera on, and press the FUNC/SET button.
2. Press left or right on your circular dial switch until "Auto" is selected.
3. Press the FUNC/SET button one more time to set the camera to Automatic.

Now take a picture to see if this fixed it.

It has gone crazy

See if one of the button switches is collapsed, check the "shoulder buttons" also. If any switch is collapsed, it will sense that button as being held down all the time, and may act strangely, including ignoring commands from other inputs or controls. Its possible a bad touch screen could do something similar as well.
Check that all the switches still click and return as they should. If you disassemble unit, you can eliminate the touch screen temporarily by just unplugging the very small ribbon cable to the touch portion of the screen, then see if it still acts up.
