Once you have purchased the new keyboard, all you need to replace the old with the new is a screwdriver and something plastic, flat and thin like a credit card or guitar pick.
Step one: Remove the two screws from the bottom of the computer that are holding down the Acer Aspire 7520G-502G25Mi Keyboard bezel. The bezel is the bar that sits right above all the function keys.

keyboard error maybe cussed by :
1. the data cable was loose --> open the keyboard from the laptop and the data cable from the laptop than clean the data cable wait until dry and plug in again use the duck tape to strengthen the cable data connection in the main board.
2. dirty --> open the keyboard from the laptop open all the key (carefully) than use vacuum cleaner to clean all of the dirt or use blow it with air compressor
3. moist --> open the keyboard from the laptop than dry it on the sun or yo can use hair dryer

There's a need for you to bring your netbook to a service center to check for any possible hardware problem. Usual cleaning should be able to resolve this issue but if not it requires a local service center to ran further check on your netbook.

Keyboards can be purchase from places like ebay etc.... don't have to spend loads of money on new. once you do purchase a keyboard all you need to do is unscrew around four screws to be able to replace your old keyboard with the good one. The screws that need to be removed normally have a 'K' next to them which stands for Keyboard.

Sounds to be you just got a faulty keyboard from HongKong, if your old keyboard works except the the Z and the new keyboard works only with function keys, then it sounds to be that the new keyboard is not ment for your laptop. if anything you should of had the same problems as your old keyboard. try using a USB keyboard.

first of all u need to remove ur power plug and the battery
then pull a little Aciton around each button which stuck
use any cool air dryer and direct it through these buttons which u have put an Aciton on it
keep ur cool dryer ( not hot air cool air plz) about 5 min. directed to the buttons
leave it about 30 min
if this not work then try this

u need to clean ur keyboard cause it seems that ur key is stuck so u need to dissassemble ur keyboard and clean the carbon points in ur keyboard (after u dissassemble it) using Aciton and tishue
otherwise u need to change ur keyboard

I had a client with that problem--we removed the keyboard and tried to clean it. Turns out that our cleaning job was less than perfect because the laptop keyboard is mostly sealed. There was liquid that seeped down onto the motherboard as well--that we could clean up. The long and short of is--you will probably need to replace the keyboard. Of course, with nothing to lose, you could wash the keyboard and let it dry out thoroughly, plug it in, and see if it works. The key here would be the thorough drying. If you decide to try this chancy procedure, don't dry it with high heat. A hair dryer set on low might be the answer.

On the back of the laptop remove the battery and any screws under it, if you look just above the keyboard theres a seperate peice of plastic now remove any screws on the back that could potentially screw into it and remove it (theres normally clips aswell and sometimes you have to slide it either left or right first. Then theres normally a screw holding the keyboard in normally locted in the centre and 'sunk-in' deeper than the rest of them remove that and the keyboard should lift up, careful its still attatched via a zif connector, remove this by pulling up the little tags at the edges of the connector pulling it out (should come out easily) then you looking for either a single cell battery or a black thing in the shape of a battery with a black and a red wire coming out of it.

I finally managed to remove the cover and solder the broken wire. Works fine exept the keyboard, but that is a result of old soda spill. This computer has been used with external keyboard for some months. I cleaned the keyboard with luke warm water and placed it for dry for 36 hours, but there are still som keys that dont work and Fn seems to be constantly on.
