Some toilets have a lever, others a push button. If button is on the side it may have similar mounting. I know on the lever type, when replacing it you need to know that it has left handed threads (so moving lever doesn't unscrew it's mounting). Turn to the left to unscrew.

SOURCE: Now do you remove agitator from washer drum?

There are 4 holes at the base of the agitator. Use a screwdriver to push in at each hole in order to pop the plastic grove that holds it in place. The agitator cap will then pull off to reveal 6 3/8" bolts. Remove these with a socket set and the entire agitator can be lifted to free the garment. To reassemble, position the agitator holes over the holes in the base, reinsert and tighten the bolts, snap the cap back on, and your are ready to go.

SOURCE: very hard to push, the automatic height adjustment

I'm growing tired of telling everyone what a piece of **** this vacuum is, I think you'll be the last! There is a design flaw that forces the wheels down according to how low you are holding the handle. Even when holding it at a normal operating height it is too low by design, causing difficult operation and finally multiple belt breaks! see my other posts about how to fix this, although it may not be worth your time!

SOURCE: Cannot raise vertical height after pushing button on back of monitor (button stuck in)

With the monitor in the lowest position, push down slightly on the monitor and push the button in. While holding the button in you should be able to raise the monitor with your other hand. This worked on the one I have.

Float is adjusted to the proper height but water continues to slowly rise until it reaches the overflow

Hi lucy edwards...
Change the inlet valve (ballcock) it is leaking and non-repairable
Once you replace your ballcock with a new one and set the water level that will solve your problem.

the tube that goes from the fill valve to the fill tube may not be installed correctly. the water must be going in the tube and not the tank. also it is a water conserving toilet so it uses less water also it is a comfort height toilet and to make it taller the bowl is extended so the water may seem even more shallow.

Toilet runs on

check your flapper valve. Is it seating corretcly? Check the lenght of the flapper chain is it too long? Make sure the handle is tight so adjustment is correct. Check float to see where water level is. Is it above drain tube? If so move float down to decrease water height.

Did you change the height of the flooring? If you changed the height of the flooring eg. from a cushion floor to a ceramic tile you'll need to change the height of the flange. If you have Iron piping then you're going to want to call a plumber. If you have ABS piping you may be able to buy an adjustable flange from a plumbing or hardware store and they'll be able to tell you how to use it.

I have a 2yr old Kohler 1.6 oblong toilet. Recently after flushing the water does not shut off. I have to take tank cover off and gently push down on the "guts"

Note: Before doing any major work on your toilet, be sure to turn off the water supply to the toilet...

If your toilet's "guts" have an float ball, try unscrewing the ball a little to lengthen the float (which controls the water shut off)

If that does not work, try putting a little bend in the arm that the float connects to get the ball lower into the tank.

If you are referring to the style float that surrounds the fill tube like a doughnut, most likely you have some sort of build up either on the fill tube the float surrounds, or on the float itself - or both - that is causing friction that not allowing the float to travel (and shut off the water fill into the tank

If you are referring to the flapper at the bottom of the tank that allows water to travel from the tank to the bowl, most likely it is has two "arms" that anchor to the flapper to the fill tube. There may be some buildup on these arms that needs to be removed to allow the flapper to open and close easily.
If the flapper is not closing, you may also have a chain that is binding up when the flush handle is pushed. Clean the chain with some CLR, and/or remove any excess links that are piling up when the flapper is closed.
