Does a faulty thermo switch on a LG expresscool fridge cause intermittent on off switching

i have found that the micro switch burns out on them and needs to be replaced. remove rear screws remove top cover , remove shield the unclip cables and front panel

Use a multi meter to test micro swicth on circuit board replace if faultsy

take the door panel off,there should be screws in your arm rest and where your handle extends from .the rest are just plastic connectors the switch should be visible it usually requires that you push in and up to remove it

Hi funtimes, incase you haven't already found out, the inverter that you have has thermally controlled fans, that is that they won't come on unless the unit is getting warm.

Sounds likely. By not start you mean not crank right? when no go hold key in start posision & bump gear shift up to top (park) if start = inhibitor (Some are adjustable)

Try unplugging the refrigerator for 10 minutes again and see if it resets that alarm system. Its possible that the power surge damaged the electronics when the power came back on after the failure. Power failures are not good for any appliance or electronic device because the voltage is sometimes very high when power is restored.
