SOURCE: How do I remove a flywheel from an echo pb-413t? I bought a flywheel puller but it still won't budge?

It was pretty hard to get a flywheel puller on there wasnt it?
Use a brass hammer and a large flathead screwdriver. being carefull not to pry on anything but the crankcase and flywheel insert the screwdriver under the flywheel. With the hammer tap on the short cooling fins (These are tougher than the longer ones- you dont want to break off any fins) while prying up on the flywheel with the screwdriver. A few taps and it should pop loose. It doesnt require a lot of force but you need to be decisive with your blows.

How to remove a flywheel from 2000w generator

Use a gear puller to remove it. To reinstall it put a little bit of grease on the shaft align key way on the shaft to slot on flywheel pushing it down on the shaft to get it started then use a block of wood on center of the flywheel over the shaft strike the block driving the flywheel on to the shaft till the flywheel is even with the outside edge of the shaft. Put your bolt back in the shaft use some thread locker sealant on bolt threads before you install it. Hope this helps you.

Need to inspect/replace coil on cd380 Chain Saw. Can't get the fan/stator off its shaft to get to the coil. What is the procedure--have no manual.

By rotor i guess you mean the flywheel, the flywheel is on a taper on the crank and will be very tight and will require a puller to remove it, you can remove the pawls and clips which will give you four threaded holes which you can manufacture a puller using these threads, this may all be in vain as there will be no new ignition parts available for it, all the testing in the world will not help if there is no spark then the electronic unit will be shot, from memory it was a SEM unit, the later 480 had a much better quality SEM unit which would fit however this would mean replacing the flywheel as well, these components were also used on the 265rx brush cutter so may well still be available.

Have a Yard Man 21"

Hi ccidb11..
I would recommend that you spray the shaft and flywheel with penetrating oil, or WD40.
Then tap the crankshaft, with the nut loosed so it acts as a flat surface to tap on with a hammer.
What you need to do is put your puller on the flywheel and tighten it down really tight, then with a hammer hit the end of the puller (where the wrench goes) a couple of times, then retighten your puller again, and hit the end again.
You will do this until the flywheel will pop off...

FLYWHEEL REMOVAL

You need a flywheel puller tool. You can rent them at most auto parts stores for a few dollars a day. Be advised that flywheels can be very hard to remove, and can come off suddenly and violently when using a puller, keep your face away.

How can i get the generator rotor off of the engine, i have pulled the bolt out

You can beat on the rotor laminations with a rubber deadblow hammer...hitting it a couple of times then spinning it and hitting it from the other side. Make sure you are not hitting the windings, slip rings, etc... only the laminations. You will not hurt the rotor this way.

How do you get the rotor off the crankshaft on a 94 suzuki quadrunner 250?

assuming you removed the nut already, it may pop off by tapping shaft with aluminum drift and hammer. if not , you will need to use a puller, and after tightening it on, hit the puller shaftwith hammer.
