Cant download software cD for my polaroid id 1440 camcorder

Try going to the Polaroid web site and see if they have a Install/download Software for your camera. If not, If you just bought the camera and registered it, you can ask them to send you another CD. You can always try to find their 800 number on the web site or on the camera's Manual or Guarantee pamphlet.

How to change date and time for Polaroid i531

Press the menu button, scroll sideways (press lightening icon) to Setup (tools icon), then down (disp) to highlight date and time. Press Set or the lightening icon to select the date and time setting, then press disp or the opposite upper part of the rocker to change the numbers, and the lightening or flower to move between the various date and time settings. Press Set when you are through.

If you leave the battery out of the camera for 48 hours, you will be invited to set the date and time at the next switch on.

You can download a manual for a similar camera, the i1036, at polaroid.com, but there does not seem to be a manual for this specific camera there. Try THIS LINK

It says set date and time, and it can't record

Okay, then set the date and time first.

This is like a requirement for you to be able to start recording.

For more information, it is still best to consult the manual.

Here is an available one for you to download. Goodluck!

Click on get manual, enter the required codes and then finally, download.

Time and date

There is a small 3volt battery soldered on the main board that needs to be replaced. It has a yellow band around it, unless you can replace it yourself it's not worthwhile. If you decide to replace it beware of the flash capacitor charge.
