TURNTABLE TURNS ON BUT DOESNT SPIN WHEN I HIT THE PLAY BUTTON
If you know how to solder its most likely the toshiba chip under the heat sink, here is more in depth, i wrote this up about 3 to 4 years ago
Ciscoel Nino - "since numark fixed thier overheating problems by adding avent under the platter, i think that what is happeing is that our DCMOTOR DRIVER IC (Toshiba TA7259P) has gone bad what i am going to do itorder this, install it and let you know the deal. there only 5.80 apiece and shipping is like 8 dollars. ill get back to you. I amguessing it is sort of like computers CPU, like its got thermal gel/grease on it and all that fun stuff. It is on the Motor's board heres the image

after i install it too, i am also going to cut vents like this under my platter like the updated versions

also take your time when installing the chip.
1. its sensitive to static.
2.buy a low heat soldering iron.
3.do each solder point at a time, wait a few seconds for the IC to cool off. then approach the next.
also open your ttx and see what exact IC you need. Mine was a Toshiba TA7259P. Also when you order that, order small tube of thermal paste.

Hi djciscoelnin I'm Having Troubles with Numar Cdx Turntable CD, its so similar to TTX, I have a speed variation, like up and down constantly. I heard clearily when i play timecode nude sound. And Sometimes the motor keeps stop even when i push the play button, and i have to push a little the plater to make it work. Do you think taht the problem comes for the same chip, and if i change it it will be gone? Please Help me!! Sorry for my english. Peace!!
@ djciscoelnin Did it work?
i have replaced that chip in various ttx1's. just take your time, and when your ttx isnt in use. shut it off

One of my TTX turntables was acting up. I made use of the tutorial found here:

to bypass the optical sensor that was malfunctioning. This seemes to have worked for me thus far. I hope this helps someone else who's been pulling their hair out trying to figure out what to do about this problem
I posted a video before/after the fix if anyone is interested. Link is
