SOURCE: electrolux canister vacuum
The easiest solution would be to call your local Aerus/ Electrolux representative, because the corporation doesnt publish diagrams.
SOURCE: canister will not release
I've done that.
There is a stem that runs down the center of the cyclone that releases the bottom. You didn't get that stem back in place. The only thing you can do is pry it open, hope is doesn't break, and put that cyclone back together correctly.
I've never broke one, but I had to pull pretty hard. Thought I was going to.
Good Luck
SOURCE: i want to take the vac apart to clean around the motor ?
I'm a Rainbow dealer. Your E Series is covered under warrenty for 4 years on the casing and 8 years on the motor. You should take it to your local Rainbow dealer and have it fixed ^_^
SOURCE: Central Vac will not turn on.
These problems are nearly exclusively caused by a bad circut board and replacing it is the fix. Bad boards can cause many different effects so its nearly impossible to be sure. The 9v signal wire is not enough to short out an entire unit so it is unlikely the hose. If it is a direct connect system and you are pulling power from the 110 somehow that would cause main unit problems but that is unlikely at best. Sounds like a failed board to me.
Best of Luck
SOURCE: I don't know how to take apart me Rainbow e2 series vac.
I recently took mine apart because the motor stopped working. Realized the brushes were pretty well worn down and one side was completely gone. I was looking on the internet for detailed instructions on how to take it apart. I ended up just ripping it apart with no problems but made a tutorial to help you guys out. Here's a link to it

This is for the e-series vaccum, not the e2 but they pretty much have the same design and same motor (e2 has a 2 stage motor).
