Something fell on it ..... Nothing is broken I checked to see n everything else works perfectly
SOURCE: PS2 slim Power Problem - Light is red goes green but nothing else.
Hi Leostg, I have seen this a couple of times. Lightning or an overload has burned up the motherboard. Its not a fuse, its a fried Emotion Engine processor. Best advice on dead motherboard is to probably total it unless you can get a low price motherboard replacement. My cost on a new motherboard for slim is about $55. If you want it fixed, replace the motherboard. Really you may be able to get another Slim for $55 or less. If you look on ebay for another motherboard do not take any chances on used motherboards. Go for a broken slim model that will boot up but want read discs. When you get one that boots up, use its motherboard in your Slim. This will be your best deal at getting your slim up and running once more. Please give me a Solved vote. I believe you only get one vote and its locked. I have put a lot into your solution and hope you will show appreciation by voting solved.
SOURCE: Ps2 slim will not power up
usually, there is a problem with a ribbon cable of power/reset switch. Try using a replacement ribbon of the same type.
SOURCE: Controller slot 1 not working slim ps2
trust me, check that there is no dust in the controller slot, blow into it, it worked brilliantly or me!! also, you can use a DRY cotton bud to take out excess dust, don't ever put anything wet in there!! hope this helps
SOURCE: ps2 not spinning correctly
The shaft of the spindle motor is bent. There is no way to straighten it out. I don't believe that this is available as a replacement part. The whole optical assembly needs to be replaced. This assembly will include this motor.

I think the motor spindle is damaged , as the motor spindle holds the disc up or it could the lens assembly being misaligned which causes the lens to be angled and scratch the disc
i recommend you to look at the site http://www.forums.gamewinners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=513070#Basic%20servicing for servicing if possible (slimline is somewhere at the bottom)
