I just got my kobota 23s only has 3.5 hrs on it keeps stalling in reverse and moving forward

I recently tried the DIY
service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

I would check the idle control solenoid first. it is mounted near the throttle body or on it. When engine rpm drops it pushes the throttle open to keep it running. It also keeps idle up when switching on the
a/c and can be used as a quick check for the solenoid.

My Amigo RD was doing the same thing, I had to replaced to circuit board and that fixed the problem, don't replace the pot throttle, because I replace the throttle thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't. It was the circuit board.

Usually the problem is due to a dirty throttle body or a faulty idle air control valve. Stalling in reverse and not in drive is unusual.

Have you checked the fluid levels in the transmission?

shift linkage needs adjusting,,could be bent, easy fix, located along firewall to fram beneath the column, ask your son wut he ran over and didnt tell u about... hope i could help...:)

On my hydrostatic there is an adjustment on the forward/back lever which can be made to run all reverse or all forward. Normal setting gives both of course. Look at that adjustment. Maybe something let go.
