Get out a step ladder or whatever you have so you can unplug it for 10 seconds. This should reset it.

Depending on the number of flashes you're seeing could mean different things.
An error code in the motor unit
Check the safety sensors
Find your make and model type. A simple internet search could solve your issue.
Its very possible the electronic eyes aren't pointing at each other. When the light flashes its a code. You count the number of flashes and look it up in your manual or online.

your door travel screw is set to go too far on the downward travel. you need to set the down travel. It is set to go too far down. find the screw adjustment on the unit that says close and back off the screw a full turn until door stops short of floor. then start turning screw other way until door just touvhes floor.

The motors is cought on something check the motor if it moves inches it will move a yard the question is the motor is it getting power? if so is it stuck on its own drive chain? Check these things you be glad you did.

To answer your question the opener is in vacation mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button on your wall control with the lock icon. The green light will stop flashing and you will be back in business.

The shaft on these garage door motors are not direct drive systems. You'll have to open up the box to see what the actual problem is. I have had stuff like this happen where a gear just slipped out of place.

Here is a link for a parts supplier. I don't know your model but it looks like most of the Liftmaster worm screw gears and drive gears are plastic so it's possible that one of them has cracked.
