SOURCE: samsung gas dryer convert to propane

I purchased a Samsung steam gas dryer and found that no one in our area knew anything about them, Fortunately I am a gas tech. but have never worked on this brand. The first thing is you should always use a gas technician before doing this. Secondly turn off the gas and electricity. You must remove the two screws from the back that hold on the top of the appliance and set this aside. Then lift up the front electronics and disconnect the wiring harness, once you've done this there are 5 screws along the top of the silver strip or door area. This will alow you to lift up the front and disconnect the wiring harness and set aside. now you can follow the instructions on converting your dryer. PLEASE check for LEAKS and proper gas flow. Follow the same steps in reverse to put the dryer back together and happy drying.

SOURCE: want to convert pitco frialator model 14 from gas to propane

I agree - What everyone fails to tell you about conversion from Natural Gas to Propane -
1 - Take your time -
2 - The parts you get may be to many
3 - If you are going to use the unitl out-side - Wind is not your friend -
4 - While 20lb tanks will work - 60lb tanks are the best
I have found that only 70% of the gas in a 20lb tank will be used - the Amount of preasure / volumne decreases as the tank gets empty - a gas grill will empty a tank - a Deep Fryer (I have a Pitco 14 and 35c) will not - therefore, 60lb tanks
5 - Also, a 3/8 hose and connections will work, but 1/2 hose and connection work better - especially with a 60lb tank
6 - Find a good welder supply store to work with to get the hoses and adapters - Stay away from Lowes, Home Depot and other Box Stores - They are ok for most things, but not this project - Pay the extra money for the right stuff.

1 - Have 3/8, 7/16 and 1/2 wrenches - Open and Box style
2 - A very good philips and slotted screw-driver
3 - Remove the Front Door and Front Panel
4 - Remove the Burners - Be careful - they are heavy and if dropped, they do crack
5 - The orfices for the burners are simple to change
6 - The Gas Regulator on the Control valve is simple - not easy to get to, but simpe to change - and make sure it is tight, (so it does not leak) but not to tight - it can craxk
7 - The silver thimbel - it is a atomizier for the pilot - is also easy to replace, but hard to get to - don't bend the gas tube to much and be carefull removing the old one - it is jamed into the pilot
8 - Wind - IS NOT YOUR FRIEND - If outside, you need to cover the left, back and right side from wind - it will push the gas out of the burner (at the orfice) and into the cabinet and it will "POP" with gas - the orfices will have little flames on them - very yellow and very bad -

Dear sir i have a empire/corcho 1500 btu heater and i have a 70 gallon tank of propane tank but the heater says natural gas can i do this or do i have to use a conversion kit and do i do that and where do...

First off, yes you can convert it to propane. The difference is that the orifice, which should be in the conversion kit, has a smaller hole for the gas to pass through and needs to be changed. Secondly, the air consumption on propane is greater than that of natural gas and for that reason you need to open the air venturi, usually to the max to allow the largest amount of air to enter. Don't overlook the pilot light as well, it also needs to have a different orifice installed. You can find new orifices and/or conversion kits at the store where you buy your propane, assuming it's not a big box retailer. Go to a local propane supply location for the parts. Another option is to go directly to the manufacturers home page and order the propane orifices.

I have an empire wall heater that was converted to natural gas how do i convert it back to propane?

you will need a propane conversion kit designed for that particular model heater.
which would most likely consist of a heavier spring for the gas valve and orifices for the burners depending on how many burners you have.
Most all gas heaters come thru the factory set up for natural gas and most have a kit available for conversion to LP (Propane) You will also need a manometer or a gas pressure tester to check the incoming and outgoing pressures from the green (2ndary )regulator outside your house to the gas valve inlet side, usually 11 to 14" WC( water column) pressure( static) 14" being MAX!!
Outlet pressure with burners running 10-11" WC approx. This info should come with the conversion kit if available. If you are not comfortable working with gas then find someone who is, for safety reasons.
