Have you checked the printer driver itself, it might have knocked itself onto Offline and you might be able to change it back to Online.

If not, the other thing is to try uninstalling the printer driver and reinstalling again.

Printer offline

You did not specify if printer was formerly working, the model # of the printer, or what version of Windows you are using. All this information is needed for successful troubleshooting. However, the below is general resolution for your problem:

"Offline" means your computer cannot "see" the printer as connected and powered on.

In order of things to try:

1. Turn printer OFF. Unplug USB cord from printer (or other end from computer). Wait at least 30 seconds. Plug USB cord back in. Turn printer back on. Does it still show as "offline" under Start --> Devices & Printers?

2. Try replacing the USB cord (yes, they can and do go bad).

3. Turn printer off. Unplug USB cord.
Under Windows Start --> Printers and Devices:
RIGHT click the Konica printer icon. Select "uninstall" (or "remove device") and follow through until printer is successfully UNinstalled. If there is other Konica software installed, remove it also (via Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs -or- Programs & Features).

4. Reboot your computer. Follow manufacturer printer installation procedure, step-by-step (consult mfr website if you do not have a printed installation manual). Do not plug in USB cord or turn on printer until instructed to do so.

If all else fails:

Ignore any manufacturer installation instructions.
Do # 3 only above.
Reboot computer.
Plug in printer and connect it to computer.
Let Windows try to automatically install it (in most cases, Windows can install the "basic" print drivers, which are smaller and sometimes more stable than the fancy drivers and excess software the manufacturer wants you to install).

If still no go, you probably have a dying or dead printer. Consult manufacturer website for help.

Printers says it is offline

hi,
Being 'offline' means there is no communication between the printer and your PC.
To change it to 'online' try the following:
  • On the start menu,go to printers and faxes and check out installed printers.
  • Double click on your printer and a window pops up.On this window go to printer on the menu bar and uncheck 'use printer offline'. Try printing now.
  • Still offline?
  • Uninstall the printer[make sure you have installation disk]
  • Unplug the printer from power and your pc too.
  • Plug them back after a few minutes and start installation afresh.
  • After installation restart your pc.
  • Now print!
Worked for me,hope it works for you!
THANK YOU!

My printer saying that offline, I can't print now. Help please

turn off your printer. check the cable, might have to unplug and plug it back. Turn printer back on. Go to control panel, printers and faxes. Right click on your printer and if still stay offline, change it back to online, and send a print test page to see if it works.

My printer bkeeps showing offline & won't print. I've used the troubleshooter & it says the printer is turned off but it's not. I've tried turning it off & back on, unplugging & replugging...

Sometimes a printer will go to work offline and not realize its still offline when you turn printer back on.
If you can see a printer icon in your tray (bottom right) then double click it and you see a windows similar to the one screen shot below and click on "printer" menu and uncheck "use printer offline".
If that still doesn't work then delete the job in the queue and try to print again.btthr_0.jpg

Unable to print from computer, nothing happens when i click print, yet printer will print from scanner. it is a h.p.psc1300 all in one.when i go into the printer on computer it says printer offline error...

I'm assuming it's USB and it got unplugged or turned off recently. Unplug the printer's USB cable for a bit (20 seconds), then plug it back in. Most likely the computer will recognize the new hardware and begin the software install that's needed. When you look at Printer on the computer again, you'll probably see a new one, but it'll show ONLINE. Make this one your default and delete the one that shows OFFLINE

I've had this happen to me several times and the above solution works for me. Good luck.

Canon MP 600 Will Not Turn On .... grumble.

I had this same issue. Lost power in the house for just a second, but after the printer would not turn on. I think that the loss of power caused the printer to get stuck in a locked state. Tried everything I could think of including changing outlets that the printer was plugged into but nothing seemed to work. Saw a troubleshooting tip on the Canon webpage about unplugging the unit for 5 minutes and thought it was hooey, but tried it anyway. Ended up leaving the unit unplugged for probably 15 minutes and when I re-plugged it in it fired right up.

Offline problem...won't print

Unplug it and then re plug it in; I suggest USB connection over anything else; don't worry about self install if you already have done so in the past. In the print > hit properties on the icon for bubblejet > go to the ports tab > scroll all thw way to the bottom and click the "USB" checkbox. and you should be good.

Printer shows offline

your next plan of action should be to let the printer reset its self. Unplug the printer for a few minutes then plug it back in. Turn printer on and try to print something. If this does not work then what i would do is use add remove programs and remove the software and drivers for the printer and re install them again. Read and use the manufactures recomended way of installing your new printer. Start off with printer unplugged and usb unplugged then begin as if you bought it brand new. I cant stress enough how important following the manufactures instructions are.
