hi Gassman, below you will be able to find a link on parts assembly for the mixer, you will have an idea on how to tear off the parts, get them cleaned and place them back, like a regular maintenance.
one of two issues:
-either it has started pulling more amps than needed after many years of faithful service, or
-you now have something else plugged into the same circuit that is causing the circuit to trip
in either case, you will need an electrician to inspect and verify with multimeter (unless you know how to do so yourself). try unplugging any new items you may have purchased since just before the issues started
There is a website called onesharpstore.com that specializes in food processing appliance parts. I saw the hobart model 1812 listed there just today (03/07/09). They even have a number you can call direct. 772-770-4383.
goto this site http://www.hobartcorp.com/default.aspx. you will find a parts list/view. before ordering any parts i would call your local hobart branch because the part numbers have changed.make sure you have the ml number or spec number found on the data plate before hand so youll get the right part numbers.any questions let me know,i repair alot of these mixers im a hobart service tech.
