Hello,

1, If there is an issue with one part of the scanner, it won't trouble you with multiple problems. I would suggest you update the firmware for the device from the manufacturer's site with the model number.

2, Even after updating the firmware, if the issues are not resolved, check if the scanner driver's version is obsolete. If so, uninstall the current driver and reinstall the updated one, which should help.

SOURCE: Scanner Imaging problem

Your scanner’s lock switch may be locking up the carriage unit. Depending on the model you own, your scanner’s lock switch resides in one of two locations. You can find it beneath the scanner itself or in a corner next to the scanner bed after you lift the lid. The switch should be marked with a locked and unlocked padlock symbol; slide the switch to the unlocked padlock to unlock the carriage unit.
It’s also possible that the supplied USB cable is improperly connected to your computer. Connect the cable directly to your PC. Canon’s online documentation indicates that scanners that connect via a USB hub may not work properly. Once you have unlocked your scanner and properly connected it directly to your computer, try to rescan the image.

SOURCE: Kodak i40 Front loading scan

Hi,

Try downloading the latest Firmware for the Kodak i40 Scanner at the following Kodak.com page: http://graphics.kodak.com/docimaging/US/en/Products/Document_Scanners/Desktop/i40_Scanner/Support/Drivers_And_Downloads/i30_and_i40_Scanner_Firmware/index.htm

Follow the instructions carefully, and make sure that the scanner and the PC DO NOT turn off while doing the Firmware update. I recomend connecting both to a UPS with a known good battery while doing this upgrade.

This should install the latest features including the one that enables front feed.

How can I email the pictures? Do I need an easyshare special something or is it through wifi? Someone plz help!!! Thank you!

This is an 8.2gig camera so pictures right out of the camera are to big in file size to e-mail.
A lot has to depending on where you have the quality set on the camera. Are the pictures you want to sent already taken or is this something that you are going to shoot then send. If the pictures have already been taken you need some type of imaging program to reduce the size of the file. Most common (photo industry standard is Photoshop) saying that most computer programing today has some type of image programing but life would be so much easier if you had the image software loaded that came with the camera. Mac or PC today's e-mail can handle an image that is 680 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi High speed sending and receiving can handle 1200 on the long side at 72dpi. Okay going forward if the pictures have not been made yet you can "de-tune" your camera to produce an image right out of the camera at 1280x960 through the image quality set up in camera.

Cannot transfer photos from kodak computer to

With Windows XP it is possible to connect the camera and transfer pictures without using the Kodak drivers as contained in EasyShare software. Windows XP contains built-in drivers (Windows Imaging Acquisition or WIA drivers) that will recognize your digital camera.
It is a good temporary alternative to using EasyShare if there are issues with installing the software, as it will at least enable you to transfer pictures to your computer. You will however lose the ability to upload any files or information to the camera, such as:
-firmware updates
-e-mail address books
-the Camera Favorites album which is a feature of some of our newest cameras
Simply connect your camera and use the Device Manager to configure Windows on how to work with the camera:
-Right-click on My Computer and choose "Manage". Click [Device Manager] in the left pane.
-Click the plus (+) sign in front of "Imaging devices". The camera should be listed below it.
-Right-click on the camera and select "Update Driver".
-If you have installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, you will be prompted, "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?" Select "No, not this time". Click [Next].
-Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click [Next].
-Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install". Click [Next].
-Select "Digital Still Camera". Click [Next].
-Check that a program selection window appears. Select "Always use this program for this action".
Now your camera should be accessible via My Computer under "Scanners and Cameras".

Kodak ds dc120 zoom digital camera

Ooh, that's a sticky one, and unusual. You're talking about technologies at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Kodak DC120 is a windows 98 orientated 1999 digital camera which needs the kodak viewer software to convert the images (a very regretful step from Kodak). You want to put this software on a 64bit Vista OS.
I really can not see it happening. You can try, but in the most unlikely to work.
The Kodak camera had a resolution of 1.2megapixels, less than mobile phones now a days. Although it is a very robust and reliable camera, a childs camera from a supermarket for $20 will produce better results.
Albeit, I do have the software, old original CD from 1999, 'Kodak Picture Postcard Software'.
I need some direction on this - I don't know if I can post contacts here to get this to you. Can a moderator assist????

I280 won't scan!

ImageCalibration means the cameras don't get enough light during their self test.
Please check the following points:
Are both lamps on or one lamp in case you have a single page scanner?
Are the imaging guides (the clear sheets above the cameras) clean?
Are the little white tags on the imaging guides present?
One tag on each imaging guide.
Without this small white tags the cameras are not able to check themself.
For emergency you can apply a small white paper or white insulating tape instead of missing tags to test the scanner.

If the lamps are light, both tags are present please calibrate the scanner with the kodak calibration sheets. You will find the calibration menue in the scanner validation tool. You can get this tool from the Kodak home page.

Kodak i260 problem

A line appears if a dust particle on the scanner glass is scanned continuously. Clena the galss with Isopropyl alcohol, dont use any solvent. If the line persists even after this, there could be some sensor problem. If accidentally a paper with a staple pin is inserted, the pin can cause scratch and a line will appear.
