Why won't my 2014 fusion start after overheating

There are several reasons why your 2014 Ford Fusion may not start after overheating. Here are a few possible explanations:
  1. Engine damage: If the engine overheated severely, it could have caused damage to the internal components of the engine, such as the pistons, cylinder walls, or bearings. This damage could prevent the engine from starting or running properly.
  2. Blown head gasket: Overheating can cause the head gasket to fail, which can result in a loss of compression and prevent the engine from starting.
  3. Electrical damage: Overheating can damage the electrical components of the engine, such as the starter, alternator, or battery. This damage could prevent the engine from starting or cause it to start but then stall.
  4. Fuel delivery issues: Overheating can also cause problems with the fuel system, such as clogged fuel lines or a faulty fuel pump, which can prevent the engine from getting the fuel it needs to start and run.
If your car is not starting after overheating, it's important to have it inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the root cause of the problem. They can diagnose the issue and provide a solution to get your car running again.

Honda SUA 2300 generator surges at idle.

It probably has bad fuel that is a few years old. Check out the videos in the link.

What causes a generator to surge at idle?
Surging caused by fuel problems usually happens for one of three reasons: incorrect fuel, low fuel levels, or poor fuel quality. Most generators have specific fuel requirements and using any type of fuel outside of those parameters can cause operational issues, including surges.

Electric fuel pump overheating

if its cooked, stops working when hot, change it. put simply. if it is still giving you overheating issues then start looking at what voltage the pump is getting and what it is meant to be getting. then look at what fuel pressure is getting generated and the reccommended pressures.

Diesel generator

1. Heat dissipation, cooling and clogging of the lubrication system cause the diesel engine to overheat.

Blockage of radiator or pipeline: once the radiator and pipeline are blocked, the cooling water cannot circulate and the diesel generator will overheat.

Exhaust pipe blockage:When the exhaust pipe is blocked, when the diesel generator is running, the exhaust gas is not discharged smoothly, and some of the exhaust gas remains in the cylinder. When the next intake stroke is intake, there are more in the cylinder. Exhaust gas, fresh oil and gas mixture can not fully come in. When the spark plug is ignited, the flame propagates and burns slowly, and then burning time is long, forming a post-combustion. Parts that are in contact with gas, because of the long burning time, can not release heat, thus causing overheating, at the same time, due to the unsmooth exhaust gas emissions, the exhaust gas temperature rises significantly when exhausting, and the thermal load of the entire diesel generator increases, causing the generator to appear overheat.

Oil filter plugging: Under normal conditions, the oil of the diesel generator enters the diesel engine through the oil filter. Once the oil filter is blocked, the oil enters the lubrication points of the diesel engine only through the bypass passage. In this way, since the oil is not filtered, it is easy to bloc the oil pipeline, causing poor lubrication, the oil pipeline is blocked, and the heat generated by the friction coupler can not dissipated, causing the generator to overheat.

Oil screen plugging: The oil filter is placed at the inlet of the oil absorber in the oil sump to remove foam and prevent large slag from entering the oil pump. Once the oil filter network is blocked, the supply of lubricating oil to the diesel generator is interrupted, which will cause dry friction of the friction coupler of the diesel generator, which will cause the generator to overheat.

2. The cooling system and the lubrication oil system leak, causing the diesel engine to overheat.

Leakage of the radiator or pipeline: The radiator or pipeline leaks. Because the water storage capacity of the diesel tank is limited, the generator will overheat.

Oil pan or oil pump oil leakage: The oil pan or oil pump oil leakage is mostly caused by loose oil plug or gasket damage. The consequence of the oil sump or oil sump leakage is that the diesel generator oil supply is reduced or interrupted. Since the diesel generator reduces the cooling effect of the oil, the heat of each friction pair of the diesel generator cannot be transmitted, so that the generator is overheated.

Dears:Sirs We have caterpillar Gen Set 3516B to reduce the consumption of diesel we added boi fuel to the system (using gas mixed with inlet air) this reduced it by 30-40% ,but it lead to lube oil...

I am not sure what Bio fuel conversion system you ahve added, I assume it is to the air intake system. Before you did that, check the compression on each cylinder as incorrect set up bio fuel after market gas kits can cause overheating of the fuel rail system. Also the system maybe running too rich now with the injection of gas.

Generac generator on auto runs weekly. light green previuosly green. now red. what causes this??

Hi and welcome to FixYa I am Kelly. Your red LED is telling you that it was 1. overloaded. 2. has low voltage 3. overheated or 4. short in the powered circuit.

OVERLOAD LED (red): Lights up if the generator experiences
a load greater than the rated output, low voltage, overheats or
the powered circuit experiences a short. The output is stopped
even though the engine keeps running.

I do not know which of the 4 conditions caused your red light. If you have the read light with no load I would suspect low voltage from the generator / inverter. If it overheated you will also get the Red LED with no load.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Onan generator dies after 2-3 hours of running , wiil not restart rigt away wait 10 minutes starts no problem then runs for 15 minutes shuts down and keeps reapeating on 15 off 10

This sounds like overheating. These small generators don't have overheating protection, but if a low oil pressure or low oil level is present it may be the reason for stopping.

Check the oil level in the starting conditions and again when it stops. It may become under the "stop" level and after some time the precipitated oil has reached the "start" level. The same may be with oil viscosity and oil pressure.

Try to add some oil or change the oil with bigger viscosity.
