SOURCE: furnace has does not ignite flame

how often do you replace your filter?

On the limit switch that protects your unit when it gets to hot the number one reason is dirty filter.

The pressure switch is located in the upper side of cabinet has a rubber hose connected to it. They very rarely go out though. So find your vent fan the first fan that comes on and follow the rubber hose to the switch.

SOURCE: intertherm gas furnace inducer centrifugal switch

Chances are the draft inducer motor is not pulling enough CFM through the heat exchanger.

That is usually due to either blocked/clogged flue pipe/vent.
damaged, missing or dirty fan blades.
or a motor going bad.

Check those three things first, as they are the usually problem. Other than that, it would be a sticking or bad switch.

If you s-uck on the end of the hose like a straw, while it is attached to the switch and it does not pull in then you are looking at a bad switch/cracked hose issue. If it does, then you are back to the draft inducer motor or it's squirrel cage fan being bad.

These are notorious for rusting and the blades breaking off.

SOURCE: intertherm m1m furnace board says low flame yellow

The system most likely just needs to be cleaned thouroghly. The burners, orifices, ignition assembly and flame sensors get diry, rusty, and contaminaterd. That causes low gas flow, and improper flame pattern. The othe possiblilty is a cloged or failing gas valve.

Intertherm gas furnace in mobile home..igniter comes on then nothing tries to fire byrners but nothing

by igniter I assume you mean the thermocoupler. are you turning the control button to run after you light the pilot light? Normally when those furnaces quit it is the thermocoupler that has quit. Get a new one and leave it in the furnace compartment as a spare.

I have a intertherm m1m furnace and the red light blinks 2 times indicating the pressure switch is open how do I correct this problem

The pressure switch is a pressure sensing device to ensure the system is operating within the parameters for which it was designed. The pressure switch on the positive pressure side of the combustion air fan when tripped indicates a flu blockage which will limit the amount of flu gasses passing through the heat exchanger. I would suggest checking the flu for a blockage and if there is a second pipe (combustion air), you should check it also as with either blocked, the proper operation of the pressure switches is in jeopardy.

You cannot bypass the pressure switches because the algorithym in the control module will see that the pressure switch is in the wrong position at the moment a call for heat was initiated.

If there are no flue blockages apparent but you find that there is no screen on the end of the flu pipe or pipes, you may still have a blockage in the form of a dead bird. They like to roost inside the openings of the pvc pipes for warmth, then die of carbon monoxide poisoning and block the pipe. Sometimes they even make their way the full horizontal length and die at an elbow and fall directly on top of the flu opening on top of the furnace. I have had to make numerous cuts to locate blockages before.

Just replaced pressure switch on intertherm m1mb gas furnace but still codes "pressure switch open"

CHECK FLUE FOR OBSTUCTIONS AS WELL AS COMBUSTION AIR INTAKE FIRST. THEN CHECK TO SEE IF THE FURNACE DRAIN IS OPEN AND NOT CLOGGED [ONLY IF YOUR FURNACE IS A CONDENSATING HIGH EFFICIENCY MODEL, typically the flue pipe will be 2 or 3 inch pvc pipe] over the years more often than not, it is an obstruction or poor drainage which will not prove the pressure switch to allow the burner to ignite. in rare cases the furnace control board could be bad as well.TRY DISCONNECTING FLUE AND COMB. AIR AT FURNACE JUST TO SEE IF FURNACE WILL IGNITE. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!

I have a coleman evcon gas furnace that keeps giving me an error code (Limit switch open, and sometimes it wont kick on when i get this code, I have replaced the Lower Limit Switch, and workd fine for a...

i hope the heater doesnt come on when a limit switch is open, you really have problems. so a limit is telling you that your furnace it over heating. first check filter and heat vents and returns they must be clean and open. closing heat vent or blocked returns will cause over heating. after chacking this look at firing rate. furnace could be overfired. you would need a "u" gauge to check manifold pressure. your name plate will tell you what this should be. find the tap on the burner manifold or outlet of gas valve. fire furnace and see what it is. 3.5"wc for nat and 10" wc for propane maybe.
