I would go to Ereplacementparts.com and type in your exact model number (there are about 5 saws) and they you can download a schematic of your tool. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: need owners manual for mccolloch electric chain saw
This is a tough one to find, but after some research I found the full blown tech manual (this saw is of the late 1980's vintage!)
Anyway, here's a free manual - I suggest you print and save a copy as a pdf for future use and reference, as once this gets pulled off the site, I doubt you'll be able to find it again.

You can also try calling 1-800-521-8559 and ask for the parts deparment and request a copy of the owners manual be emailed to you in a pdf format.
Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

hi terry, here we go ---screw the H srew right in till it stops then back it out 1 1/8th of a turn do the same to theL screw but only back it out 1 turn.screw the idle screw in i turn. it is abit difficult adjusting things by holding them with one hand while you screwthings with the other,so if need be clamp the chain bar in a vice making sure the chain is not touching any thing.start the motor ,hold it at a high idle a minute or so to warm up, the n take it up to top revsand hold it there whilst screwing the H screw slowly in and out until it runs the sweetest then back it out 1/8 th of a ,turn, donot take it in past 7/8 ths of a turn . now release the throttle and let it idle do the same thing with the L screw in and out to where it idles best then set your idle speed with the idle screw so that the chain just holds from turning (that is not so important so long as it idles nicely with out cutting out) and there you have it . just watch your hands onthat chain .
