We don’t know your capabilities. I do know there are components inside a microwave, that if not handled properly, can kill you. I’d call a technician or replace it.

Chances are that either the diode or capacitor are shorted. Be very careful, the capacitor can store a charge and should be discharged first for safety. Hope that helps...

SOURCE: my danby microwave model dmw748ss

The customer control pad can be faulty. So this must be confirmed with a test using a multimeter in the connections to the main board. If microwave is not worrking at all and there is no action please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off.
Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if contact is not through the microwave will not work.

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test.
If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

SOURCE: How to stop the beep on a Frigidaire Microwave FFMV164LSA

did you ever get an answer to this? I have the same microwave and it's driving me crazy how it beeps really loud three times when it's finished. It doesn't seem to have a "menu" where I can do anything. I've searched and pushed every button to look for it.

Where is the fuse for my Frigidaire microwave model # FFMV164LSA

The fuse for this model is located on a small filter circuit board located just behind the grill.

I have a video at my site which shows you how to remove the grill (and controller assembly if necessary) on a typical over the range microwave oven.

See microwavecontrol.com and feel free to contact me directly through there if you have additional questions.

The support page for your microwave is here, and you can download the wiring diagram there.

Frigidaire microwave FFmv164lsa keeps blowing fuse

Its the transformer I just had two with the exact same failure . No sound when hitting start just popping the house breaker and blowing the internal fuse. I thought the same as the rest that it was the capacitor because that is usually the suspected component but nope not on the frigidair ffmv164lsa and also on the kenmore 79080323310 made by frigidair with the same parts inside. Same Mag cap and diode same transformer both had a shorted to ground transformer!!

I realize this is 2 years old, but all you do is hold down stop/cancel for 3 seconds. That also turns on child lock.

Frigidaire microwave ffmv164lsa constant beeping, with little symbol to the top left hand side of the clock displaying with the beep. Keypad not responding to presses. Unplugged the unit the problem r

Hey JT Tai, I appreciate your post!
The symbol at the top left hand side of your display could be child lock symbol or vent symbol. If it is the child lock you should be able to press and hold the stop/cancel button down for 3 seconds to release the child lock.

If the light is on for the vent I would seek assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair to be completed on your microwave. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Unlock frigidaire microwave model FFMV164LSA

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are trying to unlock your Frigidaire microwave, model# FFMV164LSA. This has two different meanings to me. First, if the door is locked and will not come open, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Secondly, the control lock is on. If the control lock is on, you will need to press and hold down the "Stop/Cancel" button for 3-5 seconds, to unlock it. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your microwave status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
