Only Bose knows for sure...contact them at their website. I believe you have to pay for digital coverage separately and it will not get it if it is not set up for it!

Please visit these sites to get some details. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.
sounds like the 12v+ cable (blue wire) may be lose, the kit is designed to switch off when the engine is off to save battery... the blue wire controles this. with regards to the bluetooth... make sure the box all the wire go to for the car kit is not behind any metal frame or anything that could block radio waves.
Reset the radio (it has a processor) by just unplugging the power cord for about 30+ seconds and plugging it back in.
If this doesn't solve the problem, try replacing the remote battery (CR2032- can be found almost everywhere batteries are sold)
If all else fails, call Bose tech support.
The cable you connected has nothing to do with this.
On the side of the V20 control box (with all the inputs/outputs on the back), there is a small jack for an input directly from the headphone output from your Ipod - so all you need is a male/male ended cord (like the one used in vehicles with AUX inputs) and plug in - SIMPLE!

To my knowledge the Apple Remote does not connect directly to any iPod (this might be different for the iPhone or iPod touch). You need to have the Apple Universal Dock to use the remote control.
