1.
For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.)
2.
Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (located on your visor), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
3.
Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)
Note: Some garage door openers may require you to replace step 3 with the “cycling” procedure noted in the “View Canadian Instructions” section.
4.
Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light.
5.
At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the “learn” or “smart” button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the garage door opener’s manual or contact us.
6.
Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
7.
Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.

I had to rebuild the headlight motor gears on my 89 last year. There is a plastic gear in the headlight assembly that has little plastic "barrels" in it for tension. These little bushings disentigrate over a short period of time. both of mine went out about a month apart. They are called the Delrin Bushings and sell for 8.99 a set (MAdirect). sometimes the plastic gear get's damaged, so you may want a kit. I used a new plastic set don't recall how much, they also sell brass for $59 each side. I figure the plastic lasted 20 years last time. It is not for the novice, but it wasn't too hard if you have the right tools. second side took me an hour. good instructions.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

Open the garage door fully by pressing the wall control button. The bottom section of the door should be right at the header in the "full open" position. If it is too far back, the door cable can become misaligned. If it is not back far enough, you may not be able to get your vehicle in and out of the garage.
Position a stepladder behind the garage door opener motor. Locate the limit adjusting screws on the left side of the motor housing. Have a friend stand by the wall control button.

Insert a screwdriver into the slot for the "up limit" adjustment screw. Turn it to the right to decrease the door travel and turn it to the left to increase it. Turn the screw in small increments.
Close the garage door by having your helper push the wall control button. Notice the seal between the door and the floor--there should not be any light coming through. Adjust the "down limit" screw in the same way if necessary.
Operate the door by the pressing the wall button and check your adjustments.
