What type of HTC phone EVO Incredible? I suggest a hard rest as you cannot get into the phones menus. A hard rest will put you back to factory status you will lose all your pictures,music,data,etc.
To perform a hard reset using the device keys:

1. Turn off your phone
2. Press and hold the volume down button (located on the right side panel), and then press the Power button
3. When the display turns on, release the volume down button
4. Use the volume buttons to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press the Power button
5. All data will be deleted from your phone Your phone might be slightly different but try this

Hello.. Your User Manual for the HTC Windows Phone 8x has different User Interface for different Cellular Carrier Service Providers..

You should check with yours to get the correct menu steps to access what it is that you need..

Please be noted that your phone memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

Connect your HTC Desire to your laptop. Select "Disk Drive" on the popup on your phone. Then use your laptop to search for the pictures.

P.S. On a HTC Wildfire, pictures taken are found at F:\dcim\100MEDIA (the drive letter may vary).
