SOURCE: King kooker will not burn a blue flame, only a big yellow sooty

You may need to resize the orifice, sounds to me like it is too big. If you have an adjustable orifice try tightening it down a quarter turn at a time till that flame turn pretty. Leave that shutter wide open till you start getting a blue flame. Make sure you have no cob webs blocking the orifice.Blow out and remove all rust from the burner.

SOURCE: Dryer wont heat

It's likely one of the coils is opening a break in the coil as the coil heats up. This coil will shrink when cool and be able to run again. The number for the coil kit, which will replace ALL the coils, for your machine is 279834.

Disconnect power and turn off gas before working on this dryer. Working on gas dryers is not recommended for people who are not professionals.

Disconnect Power. Lift Cover on lint filter. Remove two Phillips screws taking care NOT to allow them to fall into the blower housing. Place putty knife in the seam between the top and front panel about 2” in from either side. Push in on clip while pulling control panel forward and tilting putty knife handle up, all at the same time. Same on opposite side. Raise top all the way.

Looking down inside dryer on left and right see a 5/16” hex head screw about 6 inches down. Remove each side while holding front panel in place. Pull top of front panel about 3 inches forward from sides and then pull up. This will disengage the front panel from lower pressure clips and allow you to turn it sideways and expose the dryer interior. Take careful note of belt configuration BEFORE removing it. Draw a diagram of its travel.

Motor and idler pulley for dyer will be on right. Gas components will be on left. Replace All coils with Kit Number listed above. Take care not to touch or hit the ignitor or you will be replacing it also. It is VERY brittle.

Service on gas appliances should be undertaken by professionals only due to the danger of gas leakage which can cause fires or death by asphyxiation.

Reverse process to re-assemble.

SOURCE: How do I clean a flame sensor on a 1993 Lennox

You can sand the flame sensor but it sounds like another problem. Sounds like a limit switch or something in the control circuit, You need to have a service tech look at this. Ask for free estimate on repair. I have worked on hundreds of these units and they are sometimes tricky to work on. Lenox has come up with new controls for the whisper heat furnace to replace the old ones. If the flame sensor is bad the unit will try to light a few times and lock out and you ahve to kull power to the furnace to reset. If this is whats happening clean the sensor nd you should be ok If not you need help from a service tech.Rus

I have an Everdure Brigadier 25mj gas heater, when you start it the pilot flame stays big, as in huge! It is a huge flame that touches the top of the heater, is there a way to adjust the flame down?

Pilot flame can be adjusted at gas valve something you may want to call a trained technician for. If the gas valve won't adjust down you may need to replace the gas valve. Also, celebrate valve ingoing pressure at 3.5 and outgoing at 4.0 & 4.5 of some

I have a Richmond Integra Water Heater. After I light the pilot and switch the valve to on, I go to turn up the temperature and the pilot goes out every time.

I am not an expert but while it is possible the gas supply is insufficient to supply high heat from the burners and maintain a lively pilot flame, it is also possible the safety thermocouple is faulty or that the pilot fails to heat the bulb - perhaps the pilot flame shortens when the high flame starts, perhaps the big flames create a draught...

When I let off the Pilot light plunger the heater goes out before I get completely off it? I wait a good minute before letting off it?

The thermo-couple is bad or mis-adjusted.
It hangs out into the flame/near the flame. If it doesn't sense heat, the unit will not stay lit.

LG DLGX2502W gas dryer: inside the drum on the back wall where there is a grid w/holes, that had been burnt. I cleaned all the lint vents. The sensiflow shows no bars. dryer works. is it safe?

The gas burners are about 18" from that grid. The orange u see is the burner flame. The grid looks burned because of the heat from the flame. Try taking a shop vacuum to the grid and see if you can suck any lint from the burner chamber. If you get a lot, then it might be worth taking the dryer front off and cleaning it out. I doubt you have any safety worries. It is surprising how much lint gets inside of a dryer.

Gas dryer runs but no heat. Took it apart cleaned all ducts and lots of years worth of dirt out of entire machine, looks brand new. Tested all components.

You did quite a bit of work. One other thing that controls the ignitor is called the flame detector. Its the black box looking thing mounted on the side of the big pipe the flame shoots into. Should be 2 wires going to it. A quick test to see if the ignitor comes on is to tie the 2 wires together. If you see the ignitor come on thats the bad part,
