HI. the power supply board has failed. There is a fuse(3amps) inside the power supply unit. you will need to remove the cover from the power supply to access this fuse. once inside the power supply, inspect the fuse. if it is truly blown, replace it. if the fuse is not blown, this will confirm a failed power supply unit. it should be replaced in this case.

((Contact Nintendo for a repair ticket if the unit has failed))

My wii will not turn on

Hi,Usually, after a power outage, a power spike (when the power returns) can disable/blow the fuse in the AC adapter for the Wii.

First:
- unplug the Wii's power cord from the wall, and leave it unplugged (from 5 mins. to 5 hours). Then, plug it back into the wall. (Unplugging the power cord from the back of the Wii will not help. You need to unplug the power cord from the wall.)
- This usually helps reset the fuse circuit in the AC adapter, and your Wii should work again.

Second:
- open the panel on the AC adapter box in the power cord; since the screws are proprietary, you will need to creatively use existing tools to turn the screws
- check the 3A fuse in that box; if it looks blown, then replace it

Third:
- it might be cheaper to replace the AC adapter with another one

Fourth:
- get the unit repaired

Thanks and good luck

Wii My Wii powers off everytime I put in a game disc

I had the same situation. I solved it by making sure the grey power cord for the wii was plugged in right and that it was plugged into a transformer. In the end the problem was that the wii was just not getting enough power. It doesn't exactly explain why the wii turned off every time I put a game in but at least I got the wii to work.
