Vizio tv model#XVT553SV will not power on tried power reset amber Vizio lite will not turn white(on)

Hi Jeannette, it would be VERY rare for a power cord to cause a set not to work. Is the set totally dead or do you get the standby lamp when you plug the set in?

Vizio logo is an indicator that the tv is live n changes to white that the screen is on meaning if no change to white the smps switch mode power supply board ain't switching the mother board....diagnosis is its MOSFET transistors need replacement or the smps board n ya tv will be fine

1. Check if the power cord has been properly connected to the power outlet.
2. Check if the main power has been switched on.
   (DVD player's power supply transformer could be burned out)

3. test the power outlet wall see the diagram
4. do not use the r.control use the power button directly from TV.

That problem sir is usually cause of faulty inverter board...

Try to replaced inverter board to fix your TV..

There is no specific code for different models, but the codes for Vizio TVs are:

10864, 10885, 11756, 10178

Try each of the above codes until you find the one that works or works best, i.e. controls most functions. White remotes RC16, RC23, and RC24 may not be programmable to some newer TV models.

Do you have back light when turning on the TV? if you do then just replace the main board should resolve the problem. if you do not have back light, you will need to replace the inverter board(s) depending on your model. The inverter board(s) is located on the left side of the TV facing back of TV. you may have two inverter boards depending on your model. the other is located on the right side of the TV. Both mount vertically.

ok I'm just going to copy paste here being as this might work for you guys, I tried it my self but had no luck but my issue has slightly different behavior(led goes green for a second before dieing). any event here is what I found:
