BR600, The choke knob is on carb. maybe knob is cracked if not carb is bad.

A very simple solution to r epairing all by yourself is getting help from hand books, they're very detailed and complete in every way so for me it was my best source to repair

Remove the cover and on the multifunction switch there is a wire with a metal connector on it in the multifuntion switch that when in the off possition needs to make contact with the metal contact that is mounted to the houseing and extends to right above the multifuntion switch usually they get stuck under the switch instead of on top of it.

take off the air filter and look at the carb when you move the choke then you will know

After trying to start several times, remove the spark plug and see if it is "wet" If it is you are flooding it. Do not pull the rope more than 3 or 4 times with the choke closed, whether it "pops" or not open the choke half way after the 4th pull and make sure you have the throttle trigger squeezed to give it gas

It sounds like your carburetor is not meetering the fuel properly. A rebuild may work but the carburetors on many machines have fropped in half in the past 2 years.
You may have a bad seal on the crank shaft or an air leak somewhere. If you take it to a dealer most shops charge less than an hour time to perform a full check on the machine and you can do the work.
