SOURCE: removing front panel from kenmore elite HE-3 front load washer?

If you've removed the screws and the panel sticks, tapping on each side will knock it loose. The panel should drop down, then off. You can also try propping the two front feet of the washer up slightly for better access. A 2x4 works real well. This will allow more room for the panel to drop and gives better access to the screws. The washer is very heavy, so you may need some assistance to lift the front. Either lift from the bottom, or place your hands on the front facing of the cabinet to push the washer back. DO NOT push on the door or control panel.

If you still need assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Loud banging/thumping during spin cycle on my kenmore front load

this sounds like this could be the bearings,to check for this, open door and with yourhand lift the inner chrome drum and let it fall then lift again and if you feel a knocking sound and a lot of play in it then its the bearings,i know there should be movement in the drum but this will feel more of a knocking.

My Frigidaire FWS833A1 top load washer makes a horrible sqwealing noise when starting the spin cycle and does not stop. Could this be a belt issue and if so, how can I fix this? Thanks for your help!

The problem could be with the "belt", "transmission pulley", or the "idler pulley". If you remove the front panel and run the machine, you should be able to see where the noise is coming from. To remove the front panel, there are 2 screws located on the bottom of the front panel, remove them and then push in on the 2 clamps located on along the seam at the top of the panel and the top near the corners. It may just come down and off once you remove the 2 screws on the bottom. Once the panel is off run a small load of clothes and listen and locate the source of the noise.

How do you get the front panel off of a Frigidaire Washer Model ATF8000FS1 to get at the coin trap?

The 7000 model and probably yours too, does not have a small front panel at the bottom that comes off. You can't access it from the back. The four screws at the bottom of the full front panel come off-- then go to the back and take off the top. Remove the screws at the detergent/softener drawer, and take it out-- remove the screws on the control panel and it can lay on the top of the machine... you can then get at the top screws on the front control panel... remove them and before taking it completely off... remove the contacts in the right side of the door by removing the two stainless screws similar to the ones removed from the detergent drawer. You should be able now to pull the front panel to access the boot.. Be sure to pull out the coin trap fully and rinse everything out... when putting it back be sure all the clamps and brackets are replaced properly or it will leak.

Frigidaire GLWS1233A Top Load Washer is leaking from the bottom, there are no kinks in the hose, water is coming from the bottom.

there is a chance that the tub seal is broken. in orfer to check it you need to remove the front panel by taking the two screws out of the bottom the push the two clips in that are located about an inch in from either side of the washer the lid will pop up and then you can remove the front panel.
then start the washer again and look to see where the water is coming from

I have A Frigidaire Model # LTF7000ESO The washer will not start. The washer makes a grinding noise. It sounds like the water valve will not open to let the water in the tub.

It definately could be your inlet valve, There is a clean out underneath the front panel, thee screws underneath will release the bottom panel. There should be a coke can size cylinder with a screw off top. Remove that a check to see if there is any obstruction. Good luck!

An old model Frigidaire top-load washer - the old "turn the dial, and pull out to start" type. Drum won't agitate - what, if anything, can I do?

Remove the front panel and inspect the drive belt. It is probably worn out and or stretched.
The Frigidaire style you have does not take overloading very well.
Also check the lid switch for continuity. It must be good for agitation to occur.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE AND REPLACE WATER INLET VALVE ON FRIGIDAIRE LTF2140FS1

remove the screws holding the top panel on, they are located on the back at the top. Standing at the front of the washer, push top panel towards rear, then lift up and remove. Notice the water inlet valves on the rear left while facing the washer front. Unplug washer, then remove the mounting screws holding valve assy onto machine, on some fridg's there are 2 screws holding an inlet valve assy onto the dispenser underneath the valve assy, they are very hard to get to. Remove valve assy from washer and replace. Remember to mark wiring locations as needed.
