Hello Claire Newcombe-Jakeman
and welcome to fixya
Your "FRIG" is not coming up as a USA domestic...
but the principles remain the same
There are several reasons ...
MOST likely is an ice blockage keeping
the air from properly flowing through the
EVAPORATOR section of your FREEZER...
As difficult as this sounds
The first and best thing to attempt is to find a SAFE place for your FOOD for several days (3).
UNPLUG, empty and completely OPEN the unit
and allow it to DEFROST naturally
Do NOT apply any HEAT... ROOM TEMPATURES only!
A portable FAN can speed things along...
(( be prepared for a LOT of WATER )).
Check on your LOCAL internet for part (spares) supply houses.
My favorite here (USA) is
appliancepartspros.com
They have trouble hints an tutorial VIDEO guides.
~~
Fixing a DEFROST failure is not difficult.
only three elements
- Defrost thermostat
- timer or PC control
- heater element
If there is NOT ANY ICE... it is MOST LIKELY
your EVAPORATOR fan.

check here (ask them for parts availability
https://www.defy.co.za/product/combi-c300-eco-wd-m/
Hope this helps

SOURCE: DIPLOMAT FREEZER MODEL NUMBER APP6403

This kind of a problem could be caused by;
The system has a leak and is not reaching the shut off temperature of the thermostat.
The compressor is worn out and not pumping gas fast enough to reach shut off temperature.
Dirty condenser not allowing the system to get rid of the heat.

SOURCE: Freezer compartment of refrigerator not freezing

First, I think it’s important to know that the Ref side has no cooling coils, it’s basically a box and the cold air in the freezer is blown over by a fan through a channel into the Ref side. This channel has a door which regulates how much cold air goes through. You probably have two control knobs in the Ref side, one controls the temp with numbers 1-9, 9 being the coldest. This temp control tells the compressor how long to run. The other control is for that little door and it may have letters A-E, E being the coldest. If you set it on E (coldest) then this will close that little door and keep most the cold air in the freezer.
So, how can the Ref side be cold and the freezer side not freezing?

1. Coolant leak. There is enough coolant to keep the Ref side cool but not enough to freeze on the freezer side.

2. Defrost system failure. The coils on the freezer side are clogged with ice and it's just a matter of time when the Ref side won't cool either. The back wall in the freezer will be covered with ice/frost

SOURCE: GE refrigerator won't keep cool

check the voltage going into you fan w/ the old main board and also w/ the new board. You might be getting a low voltage w/ your new board or the fan you replaced is for a diferent voltage. Have you tried to put the old fan back w/ the new board??

Defy fridge freezer G91641N panel , lights, keep flashing

When the panel lights on your Defy fridge freezer are flashing, it usually indicates an error or a specific condition that needs attention. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power Reset: Start by performing a power reset to see if it resolves the flashing lights issue. Turn off the fridge freezer at the main power supply or unplug it from the electrical outlet. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, and then plug it back in or switch on the main power supply. Check if the lights continue to flash.
  2. Check Error Codes: Consult the user manual or documentation for your Defy fridge freezer to identify the meaning of the flashing lights or any error codes displayed on the panel. The manual will provide specific information on what each flashing light or error code signifies and any recommended actions to resolve the issue.
  3. Temperature Settings: Ensure that the temperature settings on the fridge and freezer compartments are set correctly. Incorrect temperature settings can sometimes trigger error codes or unusual behavior. Adjust the settings to the recommended levels and observe if the flashing lights persist.
  4. Contact Customer Support: If the flashing lights persist or you are unable to identify the issue using the manual, it's recommended to contact the Defy customer support or an authorized service center. They can provide further guidance and assistance in diagnosing and resolving the problem.

Error code E 15 on my defy double door refrigerator ModelG10715Ne

The error code E15 on a Defy double door refrigerator model G10715Ne is typically indicative of a problem with the refrigerator's thermistor, which is responsible for measuring the temperature inside the refrigerator. The thermistor could be malfunctioning, or there could be a problem with the wiring connecting it to the control board. If the thermistor is not functioning correctly, it can result in incorrect temperature readings, causing the refrigerator to work less efficiently and possibly leading to spoiled food.
I would recommend unplugging the refrigerator for a few minutes and then plugging it back in to see if the error code clears. If it persists, it is best to have a professional technician take a look at it. A licensed repair person will be able to diagnose the issue and recommend the best course of action to fix the problem.

My DEFY Automaid 600 does not heat the water

It is possible that the thermostat may be causing a problem if it is faulty. It might be sending wrong signal to controller confusing it to think water temperature is already reached and shut off the heater.
The thermostat may look like this part.

FREEZER THERMOSTAT

Sounds like the thermostat is not working. Mechanical and electronic thermostats can go bad and cause the freezer to continue running no matter what setting is set on thermostat. When this happens the only setting that will work is turning the temperature setting to off. What is the model number on your freezer? Sea Breeze

Hi.

This is an universal replacement part, that is the reason why it is different from your TB original part.

The thermostat should have the temperature probe already attached.

Fit temperature probe and thermostat, then connect the element (s) wires on one side of the thermostat. The order in which you connect element polarity to thermostat does not matter. The thermostat will cut off power to element when the specific temperature is being reached by the temperature probe.

Freezer extremly cold, some frost on items. The fridge is also too cold, freezing food in the bottom crisper bin. Kenmore Elite side by side model # 5320902. We have the temperatures set higher to...

The compressor is cycled on/off by the fresh food temperature setting. The freezer setting controls a panel, or door if you will, that allows cold air to be blown into the freezer.

Since both compartments are getting too cold, the most likely culprit is the fresh food thermostat control, since it controls the compressor cycle. Try setting it to a higher setting, even if it's above normal. Use a manual thermometer to check the temperature of the fresh food compartment and compare it to the control setting. The readings should be the same or very nearly the same.

I assume your refrigerator is controlled by a solid state controller (i.e. a printed circuit board). Some of these allow for calibration of the thermostat to coincide with the actual temperature of the fresh food compartment. That would most likely have to be done by a service technician unless you have expertise in the field.

If calibration is not an option, if you can live with the thermostat setting not reflecting the actual temperature, a free fix is to simply set it higher than you actually want it to be, recognizing that the actual temperature is 'X' degrees lower than the thermostat setting.

The freezer compartment temperature will be similarly affected, and can be controlled by the freezer temp setting, which is actually nothing more than setting the position of the panel which allows or restricts air from being blown into the fresh food compartment from the freezer. Again, the compressor is cycled on and off by the thermostat in the FRESH FOOD compartment which gets its cold air from the freezer compartment.

I suggest you download the instructions for your type of thermostat. If the thermostat doesn't work per instructions it is obviously faulty.
You could contact Honeywell for advice over such an important matter.
