Can anyone solve a problem with my asko 1473 dishwasher ?

It runs wash cycle for too long, while not cleaning well. When it finally stops two lights are flashing, pots&pans and regular wash buttons.

SOURCE: Dishwasher lights blinking

QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.

SOURCE: Kenmore 665 dishwasher blinking clean light

you'll need to enter a diagnostic mode, press in this order, hi-temp(sani-rinse)----heated dry--hitemp---heated dry... all lights should light, close door and let cycle for about a min, after press the cancelbutton, you should be good to go, the buttons on your model may read slighty different names, if this "toggle of buttons" does not work, you can remove thelower access panel and htere willl be a tech sheet/trouble shoooter behind the panel, in there it will explain how to enter diag/test mode

SOURCE: Asko D3230 dishwasher pump will not turn off, with main switch on

This is a anti flood activation. It is a safety device (polystireen float and micro switch at the base of the washer) that keeps the drain motor running due to water leak / spill detection. Dry the water and rectify the leak (normaly pipe or clamp leak) and this should solve the problem.

Asko dishwasher serial number 073201552132 washer is not completing cycles. Dishwasher soap still in dishwasher when the soap should be used up

Does this happen every time? If not, this is what happens when something fall through the rack and stops the wash arms from spinning. Soap remains in dispenser and dishes are not cleaned. Secure loose items and nothing falls through the silverware basket.

Why is it not cleaning dishes?

Contact one of the Asko authorised repairers in your area and they will be able to tell you the likely cause provided the water in your machine is heating up to the correct temperature and not trying to wash luke warm and without the powder dissolving properly.

Set the machine for a hot wash and stop it and open the door mid wash cycle and check how hot the water is. It should be extremely hot and you should get a mass of steam rushing out when you open the door.

Asko dishwasher starts and immediatly stops

Hi mike, thanks for the clarification. Having this info, I am not sure this model is as the post indicates - "1595". Is it possibly a 1473 or 1474 model with a power button by the door handle ? If so, that is the most common problem with that style Asko. The contacts inside the button make momentary contact & then stop which requires replacing tge switch. Let me know if it is indeed one of these models or confirm what model number it is ok ? Thanks, Macmarkus

Blinking lights on Front Panel

I've finally tracked down the manual and it the fault code is as follows

"Indicates a fault in the heater or in the thermistor"

You can go into a fault tracing mode by pushing the "Rinse Hold" button five times within 15 seconds. The first, third, fifth and seventh lights will flash when in this mode and you can test the following parts by pressing the corresponding button. I'm going to try the heater test below and assume that if that works the fault must be with the Thermistor. The other tests could be useful for other faults.

User manual found here

Rinse Hold - tests detergent solenoid, detergent flaps open after about 60sec

Pots & Pans - tests Rinse Aid Solenoid, rinse aid will flow down door

Normal Wash - tests water inlet valve, water can be heard entering

Light Wash - tests ventilator solenoid, there will be a click followed by a rattling noise

Quick Wash - tests the heater, the element heats up, WARNING don’t touch element HOT

Temp - tests circulation pump, the pump starts

Dry - test outlet pump, the pump starts

Manual says to push 55 and 65 degree button to exit, I have no idea where those are so will probably just switch off at wall to reset.

Hope this helps someone. I rang ASKO and they said they didn’t know what the fault code meant so either they can’t read or their service sucks, probably a bit of both!

ASKO dishwasher won't drain and makes rattling sound.

I had tried several failed attempts to fix this problem. Finally I got on my knees and asked God to make the dishwasher run in Christ's name. The dishwasher just completed it's first cycle without any problems.

ASKO 1605

Hi Guys
My dishwasher this morning has desided to not work correctly.
Its a ASKO 1302 about 20 years old. It has been a very good machine.
Over the last couple of weeks during the washing cycle, the dishwasher has been making a loader noise than usual.
1. Today, the dishwasher timer, travels all the way through its cycle, but very little washing take place.
2. Soap power is still there, plates not clean!!!!
3. Water is hot
4. At the end of the cycle, there is no water in the dishwasher.
5. I'm thinking the problem could be the pump needs replacing.
What do you think?

Asko 1585 Dishwasher

do they flash lik all on one side then the other? Start a cycle, then open the door. Do the lights flash the same way when you open the door as when it stops? if soyou may have a door that needs to be adjusted so it closes better. when the cycle ends, is there any standing water in the bottom? if so you may have a poorly routed drain hose or a partial clog in it. Last, pull the bottom panels off and look inside the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is standing water down there . If ther is you have aleak somewhere or a bad drain pump. You r only other choice is a bad pressure switch. If youve already adjusted the water fil to the proper level ( just up to the grey plastic housing that the lower wash arm sits on) tehre really aernt any more options. Hope this helps!
