Go to Printers and Faxes and right click on your printer. Select Properties from that menu. One of the properties says something like set as Default Printer.
I got this fix from a copier repairman and have used it many times - it works!!
push "additional function" key. push "#" key. push forward arrow key until "#7 (printer)" appears in the screen. push "set" key. push forward arrow key until "#4 (printer reset)" appears in screen. push "set" key. screen will ask if you want to reset answer yes by pushing the back arrow key. Unplug, wait a minute and plug in again. This error will occur about once a year. save these instructions.
What happens if your press "Ctrl" and "+" while in the document, and then print? Same thing? Try it.
You can go into your printer program (control Panel/Printer) and set the default font and size to something larger.
Thanks for the feed back. And thanks for considering FixYa.com
BTW, I'm not being a smart mouth here ... I get so many questions where there is no question to the question. Sometimes it is frustrating to try to help folks when there is so very little to go on. It might make sense to you when you write it. It has to make sense to who ever tries to answer it. Like your comment, you can't read it because it is so small - I cant solve it because the facts are so little.
Are you using CS toolbox?
I f so go into the preferences and choose it to print for copy.
Make sure your network printer is set to the default.
Find toolbox here after choosing your OS
I use Outlook 2003 and sometimes have a similar problem with messages I forward. It only happens though with messages I receive in an account that is not my default account and which configuration (SMTP server, security, etc.) is different from the default account's. And it happens because Outlook forwards messages from the email account the message was received, not from the default email account. So if you have different accounts configured in Outlook, you might want to check the SMTP servers and security configurations of email accounts other the than default account (which seems to be OK since you can send emails). You can also direct Outlook to send your forward messages from your default account and not the account the resent message was addressed to. Hope this helps.
im sorry for the frustration, there are still points we have to make clear like: >do you see a 5300 icon on your printers and faxes? because if this is so, to set it as default all you need to do is right click it and left click on set as default >if you do not see one, you can try to add an icon and set it as default >if you cant add one, then there might be a problem with the printer driver for this issue, you should call tech support at 800.421.6699 hope this helps!! ciao!!
