most probably there's still a bug, insect or just a small piece of anything caught between the roller or wheel after you cleared a paper jam otherwise a spring, hook tension-er across the roller is not in-place.
If your printer has a paper tray, do not fill the tray. Overfilling the paper tray is frequently causes paper jams. Many printers have sliding mechanisms that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not correctly positioned, it can cause a paper jam.
Throw this thing out as it is clearly rubbish. HP inkjet printers will **** the life and money out of you. Get a Brother HL-2170W and you will have care free printing for cheap.
it's probably due to what i would call the print head blocker ( on your left handside of your printer head) that is broken . check it out! it also responsable to control how far goes the sheet before start printing.
Make sure all paper has been removed from the paper path.
Even a small scrap will cause a jam.
The other thing you may want to do is clean the paper rollers with alcohol.
This cleans any paper dust that has gathered on the rollers, and allows better paper movement.
the gears which pull the papers are worn out.and its the time now the gears to be replaced.or any object is blocking that gear to move freely.so this is the time for servicing.
hve u tried removing the paper jam from a proper place.hp has provided a door behind the printer to clear paper jam.open that door n check out 4 any paper part left out in it.wish u success
Had this problem, too with HP PSC 1610 AIO, paper would pull in part way and stop, then display would indicate: Paper Jam, Clear Jam and Press OK, but there was no paper in the path at all. Found in HP forums that possibly the problem was a broken off piece that may be called the "x-bias" lever which is on a little spring inside the printer just to the left of the carriage bay on the right side of the device. There are two photos of "broken" and "not broken" at this forum site: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?threadId=1085918
Since HP does not sell the little part to repair it, I phoned HP and got a good "trade-in, trade-up" price for a better device. Hope this helps someone else find the answer to the constant paper jam issue, as I always appreciate the FixYa forum help from everyone else here, too.
