First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work to reset it. To charge it in a pc, just plug it up and it should come up. Then in a few seconds, it should start charging.

Sandisk Express will not turn on.

Ensure that the player has been charged.

Try to power reset the device by simultaneously pressing and holding the center and volume up button, while connecting it to the PC.

If power reset fails, charge the device for at least two and a half hours. The computer should not be in sleep or hibernation state while charging.

Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater.

My sansa express dosnt know it has a micro sd card full of music in it. please reply to: [email protected]

Early versions of the Sansa express will not support High Density microSDHD cards whcih are usually found in Cards greater than 2GB and definetely on cards greater than 4GB.
In Flash drive mode, make sure that the microSD card can be seen on your PC as a second drive for your Player. To ensure better compatibilty, I would suggest that the microSD card be FORMATted while inserted in your Player.
I would initially only put a couple of songs on your microSD card to test that the card is compatible.

I need to know the maximum GB external micro sd card I can put in a sansa E260 4 GB Mp3 player and a sansa express 1gb mp3 Player.

Hi,

thank you for choosing Fixya.com

you can use 4GB it is the applicable memory on your mp3.
if you will try to use much higher than 4gb sometimes it is the reason why our player are hanging up.

please don't forget to rate our answers properly.

Micro sd probelem

Well, the most memory from a micro sd card the Sansa mp3 player can take is 2gb, because anything more will freeze up the player because it was not designed to read that much memory. So if you have a 1gb or a 2gb memory card, then you can use them.

I uploaded pictures, songs and videos into 1GB micro SD card. But in Sansa e250 am able to see only songs in it. am unable to view pictures or vidoes stored in SD card. please help me.

The Sansa will only show photos and play videos from its internal memory, not the microSD card. You can put music on the card, but not photos or videos.

Sandisk micro sd card 1gb(SDSDQ-1024-A11MK)

You can't take songs from the Sansa to the mobile, but you can take them from your PC to the mobile (if your phone supports SD cards)

Sandisk Sansa e130

I have a 1GB SD card in my E130 Sansa. I had fill it up to 998MB. The only problem is that I have to leave 3MB in the flash unit. I guess it need it for constructing the Music Library.
The Flash (512MB) and the SD card (1GB) are both in FAT32.
I guess that it may be a problem of the SD card itself and not a problem of the Sansa.
1) Have you tried to read the SD card with a card reader (without the Sansa)?
2) Have tried formatting the SD card (not a quick format, but a real one) in FAT32 (be careful about that).

Refreshing database - Everytime

It's only reading the data on the micro sd, it just has to have that little time to do that, even if there is hardly anything on the sd, it still needs to check it out, just like it does with its own drive. Don't seat it, if you don't like it see if you can put the data onto the main drive of your sansa.
