SOURCE: conair beard trimmer: took screw out and can't

After removing the screw you must place your thumb on the battery cover (just below the screw where the 5 raised lines are) and slide the cover downward. The battery in this unit is soldered in. You may have to take it to a repair center to get the battery changed. The battery is a D-Sc type 1600mAh 1.2V. Good luck finding one. I thought the battery in my trimmer was bad after it sat idle for about 8 years. Turns out a little light sewing machine oil on the cutter head made it spring back to life.

Troubleshoot/Repair Remington MB-1000 Beard Trimmer

If you leave the batteries in the charger with the mains power turned off then the batteries are probably being drained by the charger. Get new batteries and when flat (only flat not just used or part flat) recharge fully then remove from the charger unit. Rechargeable batteries have a habit of developing a memory as if you recharge a part charged battery then it will only recharge to that flat point

Remington mb300 battery replace how

The rechargable nickel-cadmium is hard-wired and not replaceable.

Instructions for removing the battery from the user manual:
1. Make sure your groomer is unplugged from any outlets so you don't risk an electric shock.
2. Remove side panels/grips
3. Remove the 4 housing screws
4. Pull or gently pry the clipper halves apart, exposing the batteries.
5. Remove batteries from the unit.
6. Twist batteries to break wires. Wires may also be cut.

I also own an MB-300. The battery still works good and I loved this trimmer but I need a new cutter blade for mine.

Yes you can have the battery replaced. This however needs to be done by an Authorized Service Dealer. To find your nearest dealer in the USA, use the online search function here:

If you are in another country, go to the top right of the screen, mouse over the Country and select your country. Look for a tab for the Authorized Service Dealer search function.

Is the battery replaceable on the MB-300?

Unfortunately not. The rechargeable nickel-cadmium is hard-wired and not replaceable. The battery is hazardous waste and must be removed for proper disposal. Instructions for removing the battery from the user manual:
1. Make sure your groomer is unplugged from any outlets so you don't risk an electric shock.
2. Remove side panels/grips
3. Remove the 4 housing screws

The user manual has a toll-free phone number to call for disposal instructions in your area: 1-800-822-8837
