SOURCE: Microwave Comes on when Door is Opened

It sounds like a problem with the door switch or mount or the control panel. I've attached an exploded view of the oven which shows the door switches and mount. They're located behind where the door hooks go into the chassis. You can find our safety and disassembly instructions at our site via my link here: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk If it's not switch-related, then you may have a shorted component on the control board. We repair these for customers nationwide for $32.50 postpaid in most cases.

SOURCE: remove a door on a microwave

I wouldn't remove the door myself if I were you. If you just got the microwave, it should be under a return/replace policy, or a warranty. I would recommend returning the microwave and getting a sturdier one, as you don't know if the problem exists for all microwaves in that series, and most stores don't allow the replacement to be return/replaced.

SOURCE: Over the range Frigidaire Microwave not heating. Model FMT148

This is a sure sign that the MAGNATRON needs replaced (this is what heats up the food) if every thing else works but food not cooking! 99% of time it is the magnatron!

SOURCE: My Frigidaire over the stove microwave not heating food

Hi,It is most likely the magnetron and diode that has to be replaced. This job should be done by a tech, High voltage. Magnetron's normally have a five year warranty, check your owners manual.

My child lock on my Frigidaire is constantly beeping... The door is not locked but it is beeping...

Hello Shelley, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand your Frigidaire is constantly beeping while they door is unlock, however do you have a range or microwave Frigidaire appliance? The serial tag for a range, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side and the serial tag for a microwave is in the lower left corner as you open the door. With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you!

Frigidaire microwave not heating over the range

Hello

Try to cook something simple such as microwave popcorn. If the unit does not light up or turn on, check the outlet with another appliance to make sure the outlet is functioning correctly.

Check the fuses or circuit breakers in you house. If the outlet does not work after testing it with another appliance, try to plug the microwave in a different outlet.

Check the hinges and door hooks to make sure the door is closing properly. Look to see whether a small piece of food is clinging to the door, preventing it from closing all the way. Check the release mechanism and the rotating plate to make sure they can move freely as well.

Plug in the microwave and start it a the bag of microwave popcorn inside. If the lights go on but it is not producing heat, listen and try to hear whether the unit sounds the way it usually does. If it does not, there might be problems with the circuit board. This will need to be repaired by a certified Frigidaire professional.

Check the display that shows the time and power. If the display is flickering but it does not alter the operation of the microwave, it is not a problem. If, however, the lights flicker and your food is not heating, there may be a problem in the microwave cabinet.

Listen for buzzing sounds. If there is a buzzing sound and no heat is being produced, you may have to get a new magnetron, power diode, or high-voltage capacitor. These can be purchased from a Frigidaire retailer.

Look at the handle on the door. The most common complaint about all models of the Frigidaire microwave, according to Consumeraffairs.com, was cracked or broken door handles. Frigidaire will replace faulty handles while the oven is under warranty. In many cases, they will replace the handle even after the warranty expires for a "reasonable" amount of time.

You can try to take the unit down and open the cage. Look at the door safety switches and see if they also popped out of place. She might have permanently damaged the door. But don't panic just try what I just explained. Turn off all power first at the breakers.

My microwave is not heating the food although its light is working and turntable is rotating

Hello there
It sounds normal, but there's no heat When the microwave sounds okay, but there's no heat, one of the internal door switches, the high voltage circuitry, or the circuit board may have a problem. To resolve this problem, you need to have the megatron tested and power inverter and associated parts tested to find out which one might be the problem
furthermore

microwave ovens can suffer from intermittent problems caused by excessive moisture from the range/stove entering the microwave cabinet and collecting on the circuitry. Often the problem is with one or two simple connections that may need tightening or soldering. But, to repair these components, the microwave cabinet needs to be opened. So we recommend that you seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician.I

Frigidaire microwave stopped heating

The problem of not heating is most likely the door interlock switch. The 'primary' one goes bad the most often. On some microwaves all the interlock switches are in a cluster and must be replaced together and on other microwaves the switches are individual micro switches.

66993 pizza oven microwave oven combo pizza oven not heating error code f1 microwave part works

Hello, please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacement of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal check sum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
